Panera Bread on Union Avenue is one of my favorite spots in Memphis! The restaurant is always clean, bright, and welcoming — perfect for a quick bite, a coffee break, or even a casual meeting. The staff here are consistently friendly, helpful, and make you feel right at home every time you visit.
The food is always fresh and delicious, from the soups, salads, and sandwiches to the bakery items and coffee drinks. Everything tastes like it’s made with care, and my order is always prepared quickly and accurately.
What really makes this location stand out is the great service and attention to detail. The team clearly takes pride in keeping the place spotless and creating a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere.
Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area

So disappointed in this Panera. I usually go to the one in poplar and it’s usually good. This one…. Oooof. I go to Panera often and I usually get the exact same order. This time sucked. I ordered for pick up at a specific time. I got an email saying it was finished even after waiting for 5 minutes in the drive through it still wasn’t ready. When I got it it was thrown together. The sandwich just had piles of the veggies not even spread out, the other sandwich had so much sauce on it it was soggy and they put the croutons in the soup so by the time I got home they were mush. The bread on the Mediterranean sandwich wasn’t the same. I don’t think they gave me the right bread and no pickle. Unless they stopped giving you a pickle with a full sandwich either way. When my food was ready she just kinda threw the bag at me. I will not come to this Panera ever again. Do yourself a favor and drive a few extra minutes to the poplar one. Shut this place down or get a different manager or work crew. I would have gotten a refund if possible.

I love Panera Bread BUT the place on Union Ave in Memphis, Tennessee is such a disgrace. And I have went to numerous Panera Bread’s before & the same thing happened! I ordered Chicken, Egg, & Avocado sandwich. I was VERY DISAPPOINTED! I had a little piece of chicken on my sandwich. If I wanted Egg & Avocado I would’ve ordered that. My sandwich definitely doesn’t look the picture on their website!! I wish I could give 0 stars. I’m hungry & pissed!

Statement of Appreciation
This is a statement of appreciation to one of the best businesses I visited during the storm—Panera Bread.
Thank you for taking the time to clean your parking lot and for showing genuine concern for your customers’ safety. Those actions did not go unnoticed.
As someone who delivers your items, I wanted to personally say thank you for the gift of care and consideration you showed to everyone who entered your facility. In times like these, small actions make a big difference—and yours truly mattered.

LIKE CLOCKWORK!
I love coming to Panera because the food is fresh and flavorful.
On this day I ordered the southwest chicken salad and it was amazing!! Fresh cilantro, avocado, chicken and yummy dressing. Very filling as well. The food was served fast as well.

We ordered the two new crossaint toast sandwiches. The Fromage and the Croque Monsieur. One only has veggies and cheese, and the other has black forest ham with cheese and caramelized onions.
The Fromage (veggie) had more flavor surprisingly, but it still wasn’t my cup of tea. The Croque was nothing special. I’ll give both a 3.5/10.
The Mac with bacon was good enough, 5.5/10, and the cookie, of course, was the star. 9/10
Overall: It was so expensive just to be mid.

If I could eat Panera for breakfast everyday, I would. This place is right down the street from my job, so I come here often. Orders are always right. Food is always good. No complaints.

Picked Panera for delivery because of their great options for dietary needs. Love that the website lists all ingredients, even for dressings. My vegan/vegetarian order arrived on time and exactly as requested. The Mediterranean salad was tasty and I like the kettle chips sides. Food presentation could be nicer but overall great experience.

I relied on this location to deliver an exceptional experience for my wedding rehearsal dinner, and they absolutely came through. Kenetha and Marcus went above and beyond in every part of the process. From placing the order, to pickup, to the quality, value, and freshness of the food—everything was outstanding and exceeded our expectations. We’re truly grateful to both of them for helping make our rehearsal dinner feel effortless during an already busy time.

I’m normally not the kind of person to leave reviews, but thank you GOOGLE for this platform. Thanks to everyone that leave reviews because this actually does help more than you can imagine! My girlfriend and her coworker order from this location at least two times a week through DoorDash, so i decided to give Panera Bread a try. On Wednesday night after work I placed an online order and picked up inside the restaurant. I would have never expected that I would see a house roach carrying an egg crawling from the Garbage area next to the self serve coffee area. It Looks like I’m going to pass on ordering from this location from now on.
