I came into the Panera on Paul Huff Parkway in Cleveland, TN around 8:10 PM just wanting 20 minutes to relax with my sister and son after a rainy day at the library. Instead, I walked into cigarette smoke in the entry, severely filthy tables, and an uncomfortable vibe from the staff.
When my sister ordered a chocolate chip cookie and a tea, and I came up to pay and add my own order (a cinnamon roll, orange scone, and Madagascar vanilla latte), the cashier acted like my sister might’ve taken something. It was uncomfortable and unnecessary. I paid, was not given a receipt, and all we wanted to do was sit quietly.
But the tea station was empty, and my sister had to ask twice just to get some water. The employee was too busy flirting with a coworker to care, and eventually handed her half a cup of barely warm water with no real help finding tea.
Meanwhile, my coffee was forgotten until I asked — and when I finally got it, it tasted like straight syrup and warm coffee, no cream, and definitely not what I ordered. The desserts were just as bad — and just trash.
We were polite. We weren’t asking for much. Just over 20 peaceful minutes and what we paid for. Instead, it felt like the employees were the main characters and customers were just background noise.
$24.47 for this? Never again.
Super negative stars.
I tried your new sandwich, and it was lacking product. The garlic aioli was not visible, and the meat barely covered the bread. I wanted a bread bowl soup, but at 1 PM on a Friday, they were out for the day. Really? They told me I should arrive at 11 AM because they always run out. Here’s an idea, cook more daily and satisfy the customers after lunch and maybe dinner too.
The group all asked me to stop for a snack an hour after leaving because they were hungry. Considering your prices, you need to do better than being cheap in assembling your food.
The staff is friendly, the orders are filled accurately, the food is great and the atmosphere is relaxing.
With the sip club and taking advantage of their gift card sales- we eat here very reasonably.
