Haven’t been to Panera Bread in at least 6 or 7 years, I thought I would stop in and try a salad, I got the chicken Fuji apple salad and it was delicious and fresh. The service was quick and the restaurant was nice and clean. I will definitely stop and again to try something else.

I ordered via Uber but it would not allow me to privately relay my grievances nor is there an option to email so my first and only Google review will be how dissatisfied I feel with my order. My strawberry smoothie arrived completely melted (sure, things happen) but it was obvious they let it sit until it was picked up. Even had it been cold, it tasted like chalk and milk mixed up with no flavor whatsoever. My Chipotle Chicken Avocado sandwich had to be eaten without the bread and turned into a makeshift salad as the bread tasted of plastic. Luckily, there was a promotion for a free item when the sandwich was ordered and the French Onion soup was the only redeeming quality though all paid for items were practically inedible.

Unfortunately, we’ve experienced repeated issues here over multiple visits—incorrect orders, missing items, and consistent staff-related problems. Each visit seems to come with a different issue, and it’s always related to service rather than the food itself.
Today was the point where we felt compelled to leave a review, as there appears to be no clear way to contact the franchise owner or management above the store level to file a formal complaint. Either the franchise owner is unaware of what’s happening at this location, or there is a lack of accountability in hiring and training.
Notably, many of the reviews here echo the same concerns about staff, which suggests this is an ongoing issue rather than an isolated experience. We truly hope this feedback reaches the appropriate level so improvements can be made

This is the worst panera bread in the county. EVERY SINGLE TIME they manage to screw up the order. Missing entire meals, missing part of meals, missing sides, wrong items. They never check to ensure the order is correct. If you order from a delivery service you will likely not have enough food for everyone to eat because they’ll leave entire items out. If they’re out of something they don’t call you to notify you or even try to substitute it for something similar. They just don’t include it and they don’t refund your money either unless you notice and ask for a refund while you’re in the store. How hard is it to train employees to check that the order is complete?

The employees working at 11:00am on March 1st were completely unprofessional.
Instead of being asked what i’m waiting for, which was an uber eats order I had to ask for it at least 3 times.
They told me they checked on my order when they obviously did not.
And they were serving people all around me and acknowledging their order before mine.
The cherry on top was when I finally received my food but instead of being handed the food she set it directly in front of me without saying one word towards me.
Panera management let me ask you this, is this the proper and sanitary way to package an uber eats order?

Hands down the best Panera in the area!! Food is always fresh and made Correctly the 1st time. Employees are polite and helpful. Definitely the only Panera I’ll eat from. Broccoli soup is to die for! If you haven’t tried a fresh baked chocolate chip cookie from here what are you doing with your life? Literally I could go on and on about the food but trust me this is the Panera to go to!

Stopped into the Panera Bread on Bay Drive in Bellaire Bluffs, expecting a decent experience, but left annoyed.
My friend brought a can of tuna he was really looking forward to eating and simply asked to borrow a can opener. Not only did the staff refuse, but they didn’t even bother to look for one—just a flat-out “no,” like it was some outrageous request. It’s a basic kitchen tool, not a flamethrower.
To top it off, while we were eating, an employee decided it was the perfect time to fire up the vacuum—literally right next to our table. Mid-meal. No heads-up, no “sorry for the noise,” just full-blown cleaning like we weren’t even there.
The food was fine (hence the two stars instead of one), but the lack of courtesy and common sense from the staff really soured the visit. Won’t be rushing back.

Very disappointing customer experience! The store had only two other customers. Laurie took my order and I made it very clear that I wanted my sandwich on toast with the toast being made before the sandwich was assembled. I also requested a pickle wedge. She assured me that she had captured my request. When I opened the bag at home, the chicken salad had been toasted in the sandwich. Who cooks a cold sandwich? There was no pickle wedge. Plenty of staff no customers and no stress. Unacceptable execution!
