The sweet tea was left out in a completely open container — uncovered and exposed — which does not meet basic health code standards requiring beverages to be protected from contamination. Even more concerning, my husband’s sandwich was placed directly on top of the receipt. Receipts are handled by multiple employees, go through machines, and are not made from food-safe materials. According to food safety guidelines, food must only come into contact with clean, sanitized, food-grade surfaces.
On top of that, the soups were lukewarm and the sandwiches cold in the middle. For the price, the quality and handling of the food were far below expectations.
It has been some time since our last visit to this location, and unfortunately, this experience reminded us why.
EDIT:
Gave this place ONE more chance and it let me down harder than ever before! I bought 4 of the avocado spinach breakfast sandwiches and this is the one that looked the most…edible? I ended up eating not even one out of the four I got and I’m glad I didn’t because I feel like I wouldn’t have been okay if I even had one bite. The second photo is from 8-5-23 and it smells as disgusting as it looks. The avocado is borderline completely black it’s molded so bad. Also apparently telling them you have a dairy allergy so to please leave off the cheese means to dump an insane amount of cheese all over it. I’ve been to some really bad restaurants but never have I been given food that I would genuinely get food poisoning from. Hope the health inspector comes in soon to shut this place down. Shouldn’t have given this place ever a second chance. Disgusting place and I’m repulsed by all of it. Even the workers are just flat out mean and petty. I don’t know why I expected this place to get better and not worse. Appalling service and sickening just revolting food. I’d only recommend people going here if they wanted to spend a lot of money to just throw away all their food.
Today, I went to the drive thru and ordered a salad. No other cars were waiting in line.
I saw my salad order placed on the counter. She picked it up, put it in a bag & then walked away. She came back, walked around with the bag again. She came back, put the bag down, took the salad out walked around with the salad again. Then came back walked around with my salad some more and then put it back in the bag and finally came over and handed it to me. That lallygagging took about 5 minutes.
When she handed me my order, she didn’t say anything or apologize for the wait. I had to ask what took so long she just smiled and laughed and said we got busy all of a sudden. Well, you weren’t busy when I got here…
The french onion soup was delicious. I ordered a full buffalo chicken sandwich which was 9.50. I was really surprised at how little chicken was on it. I didn’t mention it to the manager on duty but should have. For 9.50 and that serving of meat I’ll find somewhere else to eat that isn’t stingy. Bummer because its close to my house but I don’t want to have to tell a restaurant that they are skimping on their food, I want them to know they’re not skimping and I’ll know it too.
Their bread is really good but cmon, don’t skimp on the meat!
They cannot get drink orders correct. There’s been so many times I’ve tried to order something through a drive-through only to get home and realize it’s wrong.
Today I ordered a Diet Pepsi and a Green goddess salad. My Green Goddess salad had Peperoncino peppers inside and my diet Pepsi had practically no syrup in it.
Last week, my Diet Pepsi was a regular Pepsi. Literally a waste of money when their prices are top dollar – do not recommend.
The Nocatee location has never disappointed…
