I just ordered a turkey bacon bravo and there was no bacon and the lettuce was completely rotten. Of course I was 15 minutes down the road before opening the sandwich so it wasn’t worth the drive to return. The food quality was not what I would expect from Panera.

I like Panera Bread, usually I don’t have an issue. Today, I placed orders online & found that they didn’t have everything in them. 2/3 salads ordered were missing salad dressing, the salads were not filled to the Panera Bread standard, and how the sandwiches were made left something to be desired. I hope to have a better experience going forward.

I ordered a double take bacon breakfast sandwich and I received a sandwich with no bacon after waiting for 15 minutes. The cashier did not ask us if we were eating in or to go, did not take our name, and did not give us a receipt so that we’d have our order number. This location is also lacking in technology that other Panera Breads have, like ordering tablets and an order status board.

I have never been more disappointed in Panera Bread than I was with my most recent order. I decided to treat myself to one of my longtime favorites, the mac and cheese, but what I received was absolutely unacceptable. When I opened my order, I was shocked at how poor the quality was. Instead of the creamy, rich, cheesy mac and cheese that Panera is known for, I was served a bowl of runny, watered-down pasta that was completely unappetizing.

The texture was all wrong. It was thin and soupy, almost like it had been mixed with water instead of cheese sauce. There was no flavor—none of the comforting, savory, cheesy taste that makes this dish worth ordering in the first place. It was bland, sloppy, and honestly felt like someone didn’t care enough to prepare it correctly. For the price Panera charges, this level of carelessness is simply unacceptable.

What’s even worse is that I’ve been a loyal Panera customer for years, so I know what this dish is supposed to taste like. I’ve had it countless times before, and this was not even close. It’s frustrating to pay for food that is supposed to be a higher quality option, only to receive something that feels rushed and completely disregards the standards that Panera advertises.

This isn’t just a minor issue—it’s a reflection of the management and kitchen standards at this location. If food this poorly prepared is being served, then there is a serious quality control problem. It’s not right for paying customers to receive something so unappetizing, and it’s clear that no one double-checked this order before it was handed to me.

I am extremely dissatisfied and honestly disgusted with how bad this experience was. It has completely shaken my trust in Panera. If this is the level of care and quality that’s going to be allowed, then I don’t see myself returning anytime soon. Panera needs to take accountability, improve their kitchen standards, and make sure customers are actually getting what they’re paying for. Until then, I will be warning others about my experience and taking my business elsewhere.

Teenage staff were rude and clueless. There were barely any customers and the place was filthy and there wasn’t any coffee made. When asked how long the wait would be for fresh coffee the young girl said with an attitude, “I don’t know. 10-15 minutes!” How does someone who works here not know how long coffee takes to brew? Management needs to do some customer service training. If the employees dont want to deal with customers in a professional manner, then they need to find another place to work.

This is not a review about the food. It was typical Panera and while it wasn’t near the best I’ve had I could let the quality slide.

This is instead a review of the service, atmosphere, and ambience. Or should I say the lack there of.

Dining at this Panera, Sunday, October 12, 2025 at 6 PM was the single worst experience I’ve ever had in my entire life.

I have never once written a Google review, negative or positive. And yet here I find myself a 20 year-old male needing to be a Karen. I’ve been insulted, mistreated, and wrongfully neglected at this restaurant. Upon walking in the woman at the counter rudely screamed can I help you. Clearly, we were looking at the menu and we were happy to be dining there. But our faces quickly changed and our smiles quickly dropped as the woman at the front counter repeatedly asked can I help you again and again.

After we ordered we made our way to find a seat. The dining area was less than stellar. Crumbs and pieces of food were scattered across the floor and hid in corners. We even felt the need to wipe our own table before we sat down, which I understand is common behavior, but with the lack of customers in the building, I guess it would be expected that the place would be cleaner. The wait for our food was not too long however, upon receiving it, it was made clear that the woman who took her order was neglectful of our experience. She did not ask us whether we wanted chips or a baguette with our meal. She did not ask us if we wanted it for here or to go. Part of the experience of going to Panera in the first place is eating a bowl of soup. Not a paper cup that cost eight dollars filled with microwaved soup.

So I grabbed my bag of food and made my way to the dirty table. Sat down and started realizing that the broccoli cheddar soup wasn’t as hot as it should be. And our sandwiches were made sloppily. I have no complaints to the food prep people, as they are simply making the orders they have on the screen. But when I heard who I assumed to be the general manager talking to them, I was utterly disgusted with the way he spoke. He was rude to his workers, and if I had someone talking to me like that, I would quit on the spot. I had gone up to get another bowl of broccoli cheddar because one was simply not enough, After all the paper cup is only half filled anyway. She was equally as rude to me, if not more the second time around.

I almost wanted to ask this young lady, Why are you so rude to us? What have we done? You could easily be replaced by a computer and the only reason you are here is to be warm and inviting. And yet you have failed to do your only task.

Past experiences I’ve had at this Panera have been subpar. But this experience has left a sour taste in my mouth. If someone is rude to me like this again at any establishment ever, I will simply walk out because this was the worst experience I’ve ever had in my life.

I’ve always loved Panera bread’s French onion soup. I stopped here for lunch about 3 weeks ago. They gave me 3 croutons in a bag, barely any cheese and the soup was not hot. Very disappointed with the soup and not what I’m normally used to. Not sure if it was just this location or the staff but I’ve never been disappointed with the one in Salisbury, MD even though I have not tried their new location. Sadly I will not be going back to this particular location for soup. It’s the winter season, you can’t miss on the quality of soup.

I ordered express to go. When I got home and opened my salad ….. Oh My!!!!! There was the longest blonde hair that I have ever seen. It was tossed in with my salad that I could no longer eat. I reported it and have still not heard back from the manager or anyone at the Ocean City site. I will never go there again because the management team does not seem interested in improving their food delivery. And they care less about their customers.

Went in 15 minutes before close, doors were open. Made eye contact with the person on register and politely asked “are you guys still open, don’t want to bother you all if you’re closing” no verbal response was given just head shakes. Why are the doors open if you are “closed” I just wanted a cookie.
