I wanted to take a moment to recognize Wayne, the manager at the Panera Bread, for outstanding customer service on Saturday, February 7th.
After a long day of cleaning out a house we had just moved out of, my fiancée and I decided to order a late lunch/early dinner from Panera. We’ve ordered from Panera many times, including delivery, and have rarely had any issues. This time, though, my order arrived without the 20-ounce coffee I was really looking forward to and honestly needed to get through the rest of the day.
The delivery was through DoorDash, and when I reached out, I was told I’d need to contact DoorDash for a refund. That response didn’t sit well with me, so I called the Panera directly and spoke with Wayne. He immediately confirmed that the coffee had been included and told me he would try to reach DoorDash to see if they could re-deliver it. He later called me back to say he was having trouble getting through and offered a refund.
I told him not to worry about the refund and asked if I could just stop by to pick up the coffee instead. Since we had just moved and had no food, utensils, or coffee at home, that cup of coffee really mattered more than the money. Wayne didn’t hesitate. He told me to come in and said he’d make me a fresh one.
When I arrived, Wayne was exactly as promised. He made me a fresh, hot coffee, was incredibly courteous and friendly, and didn’t seem bothered at all that I arrived later than expected. In a time when customer service can be hit or miss, Wayne absolutely got it right.
I truly appreciate his professionalism, kindness, and willingness to go the extra mile. That coffee gave me the boost I needed to finish out the evening, and more importantly, it reminded me why I keep choosing Panera. Huge thanks to Wayne and the Collegeville Panera team for excellent service.

Recently received a $25 gift card for the holidays and decided to finally try Panera. Unfortunately, I was not impressed.
I ordered a chicken bacon ranch sandwich ($12), an iced coffee (my go-to drink anywhere), and a cookie. Total came to $18.85, which honestly felt insane for what I got.
The iced coffee was terrible — three sips and it went straight in the trash. The sandwich was equally disappointing. For $12, I expected something fresh and filling, but the chicken had that processed, frozen grilled chicken texture you’d get from a grocery store freezer section. Chewy and bland.
Overall, very underwhelming for the price. Places like this might fool you once, but not twice. I won’t be back, and I wouldn’t recommend wasting your time or money here.

This is the worst panera. Tables always dirty, the manager is miserable, guest is never right, and the food is about a 3/10. Disappointing to live near a Panera this bad. This photo is the sandwich we waited 25 minutes for.

Panera advertised a cup of soup for one dollar if you ordered an entrée on the app. So I ordered the entrée on the app after I arrived at the restaurant and got to the place where I was supposed to enter the keyword SOUP. I did so and got a message that said it was unacceptable and that the special was only available until December 19. Well, it was December 19. So we asked at the cash register for the soup special even though the app didn’t work. We were advised that this happened sometimes to other people when Panera’s system would not accept a specific order from the app and there was nothing they could do about it because he could not enter a one dollar cup of soup on the cash register, so we were out of luck. OH REALLY. In fact, it is Panera who is out of luck. You get a very, very bad review here. If you lure somebody in with an advertised special, you deliver that special one way or another. He should’ve been able to override the system so that it would allow that. We went to the restaurant next-door and had an excellent meal. We will not return to Panera anytime soon.

We’ve been eating Panera for years and happy that the food has gotten tastier and generally better quality ingredients than several years ago. Very satisfied with the bagels recently, they were big and pillowy soft with a nice crunchy exterior after toasting. Today definitely appreciated the mini baguette sizes we got with our soups. Cinnamon roll seems quite a bit smaller than in the past and less soft… i thought they slice them out of the pan but I guess that’s changed.

This location works with the my Panera app. Our food was hot and ready when we got there. We ordered two of the Baja Mac and cheeses, one in a bread bowl. It was pretty good. Nice and cheesey and the cilantro is awesome in it. Our bread was soft and fresh, delicious! Also ordered the Greek salad. I loved the quinoa that comes with it. The vinaigrette was good. Decent amount of dark greens in it too.
