Never again will I choose Panera. While traveling for work I got a half salad and soup for takeout. They pack the salad so tightly into a small container that you can’t even mix the dressing in without the lettuce going all over. And what’s with the tiny container of dressing??? What do you get, like, 2 tablespoons? That’s pathetic. And the baguette is just thrown in the bag uncovered. You can’t even wrap it in something? I understand the need to maximize profits but you guys are just cheap and chintzy. Does it really cost THAT much to give a decent amount of dressing with a takeout order?!? Most of my salad ended up having NO dressing on it so I just threw it away. Cheap cheap CHEAP!! And you can see from the pic that the lettuce isn’t even that fresh looking either. Never ever ever will I choose this chain again.

Had a piece of nectarine in my dressing that I accidentally poured in my Caesar salad and then I had nectarine in it. The salad was so bad too. I saw a review about a salad a month ago from someone so obviously whoever is making the salads isn’t doing a good job 🙁

This branch is great. Staff are cooperative and kind. The place is specious and well organized. Service food is slow sometimes during rush hours but worth the wait annd can be managed by placing an order beforehand through easy to use Panera app. I would highly recommend this branch; and the spicy fiesta chxsdw and the grilled Chz. The cookie was decent too.

(In all fairness, this was the Sunday lunch rush the day after Penn State homecoming.) The place was packed. As we entered our order in the kiosk, a staff member said it would be a 23 minute wait. (It was over 40 minutes.) We got the last open table left in the place. There was a crowd to fight through at the pickup counter. But my salad was great, when I finally did get it.

I have to say this was the worst Panera experience I have ever had. The young woman ( tall, dark hair with glasses) making sandwiches was so rude and unprofessional. After 15 minutes I went up to see if my sandwich was ready , because I noticed people that came in behind me were getting their orders first. I ordered a simple croissant with egg and bacon. She snapped at me saying she doesn’t appreciate people coming up to the counter asking about their orders and standing there. She kept saying rude comments while I and now others were waiting for our orders. She was so rude to her teammates too. No need for this behavior or attitude.
Also my order had nothing with corn but I actually bit into it in my breakfast sandwich, which was just gross. Overall this Panera location customer service is awful.

During my 2 weeks stay in State College, this place on North Atherton street became my go to place for a quick lunch or dinner.
I prefer their healthy soups and salads. They do have great a great selection of sandwiches and baked goods which I did not try.
Ordering is quick using the various terminals and food is prepared fast. There is always enough seating.
Of all the items I tried, my favorite was the Turkish chilli bowl. Simple, hearty and delicious.
For drinks, I usually prefer their Cafe Latte. What I found really nice is that they don’t charge extra if you replace the normal milk with almond milk.
A big thumbs up.

This Panera was good, but, had a few issues during our visit. We ordered the Mac n cheese sandwich and the flatbread pizza. The fountain machine was not working and they ran out of the kitchen sink cookie as of the previous night. Besides that, we did receive our order in a timely matter and both meals were great. Could have been a five star it it weren’t for the issues.

Jason jumped right in and helped select items and make recommendations.

Stopped while travelling through State College. I was served a sandwich with smashed broken bread. The sauce was all over the plate and food. I had to eat my sandwich with a knife and fork. This place is a disaster
