The service I got was great the staff was friendly and I really enjoyed the atmosphere. It was very cozy. This all sounds great but there was just one problem.
The food, the main reason I visited, my salad had raw uncooked chicken in it, I didn’t notice and had eaten some pieces that were rubbery and looked down to see some pieces were pink with red spots so that was totally gross. I went up to the counter and said I can’t eat this and it was inedible and told them about my chicken being raw and rubbery and the staff replied “yeah, the chicken is questionable here” this was unsettling to say the least and I’m thinking about getting a lawyer involved about the food I received. I was still charged for my meal and they let me choose something else I chose a tuna sandwich which I believe was less then my meal so it was upsetting that I overpaid for a meal that could have easily sent me to the hospital. The tuna salad was not bad, I was very worried to eat it after my meal but I was starving and didn’t have any time left on my break since I was running late now.
I won’t ever be back to Panera again and I advise you all to stay away if you don’t like raw chicken.
Whatever item is missing is also always checked off on their worthless little “Quality Check” on the bag, and today was no different. Today, my order was missing a brownie. After paying, checking my order, and realizing it was missing, I just mentioned it to an employee, and they explained the missing item by just saying, “well, we’re out of brownies…” So… you were out of it, allowed me to pay for it, and then instead of bringing it up to the customer that you can’t fulfill the order, just decided to leave it out? And the person checking quality just lied and marked it as being included (or mindlessly just drew check marks without actually doing their job).
The person right behind me in line had the same exact thing happen too…
I understand people make mistakes and food service can be a tough job, and I’ve been patiently and kindly asking for my missing items, without complaint, nearly every week for years, but MY GOSH, how TRASH are your quality system, processes, employee training, and culture to CONSISTENTLY make the same mistakes over and over and never improve or fix the problem??
Thank goodness the food at least tastes good…
