Located in the Clark Commons off of Raritan Road, this was my first time back in 2 years, and it appeared to be clean early this morning for takeout. Besides indoor dining, whose main room is designed in earthy tones with comfortable seating, this Panera Bread Cafe# 601755 also has several tables for outdoor dining, which I don’t see at most locations. Upon entering, there were several self-service kiosks for a speedy ordering process or counter service. Greeted by the staff, I ordered my go-to Asiago bagel toasted with cream cheese for breakfast. The bagel was deliciously tasty with the warm cheese. Staff was friendly, service was quick, and the price was pretty standard, which I can recommend.

No cups, no coasters, no napkins. Tables were all filthy and stick. Tables are so worn down they are starting to delaminate, which in press board includes exposing metals. Bathrooms were disgusting and out of toilet paper. There was one kid running around trying his best to clean while a handful of other employees laughed at the counter. Order was updated as ready and then took another 13 minutes to hit the counter.

Been to this location a few times now because of the proximity to my job and today was my last time. Portions are consistently skimpy (especially the salads), food is messily thrown together (even when I order ahead), and staff aren’t that welcoming. It’s interesting because the one in Union is much better and just as busy if not more.

Look, there’s a couple decent staff here. A woman who looked like a supervisor walked around and smiled at a family with a baby. Another worker yelled god bless you through the kitchen to the dining room to someone who sneezed. But overall, I can’t ignore the facts. This place is expensive, the tables aren’t cleaned regularly and often have crumbs and wrappers, they never seem to have the large size of cups available, all the pagers were dead when I was putting my order in, they’re notoriously slow even at 3:00 in the afternoon when there’s like 8 people in here, and every time I’ve come here recently there’s been the same confused man who constantly wanders back and forth between the entrance and drink station every 3 minutes and the staff here don’t do anything about it. At its best, this location is perfectly average. At its worst, it’s like having lunch at New York’s Penn Station with all the garbage and beggars surrounding you.

Horrible customer service I guess she was the manager who was upset bc I requested a receipt , & then the whole time I was waiting for my order all she did was complain about everything!!! The soup was cold & thickness of pasta sauce not appetizing at all. I would not recommend this place at all.
