Panera Bread in Torrington has become my go-to spot for a mobile field office. The Wi-Fi is reliable, the seating is comfortable, and the bathroom is always clean. It’s Panera, so the food is exactly what you’d expect—consistent every time (whether you consistently like it or not is up to you ).
What really makes this location stand out is the staff. The manager and employees have always been friendly, helpful, and on top of things. I’ve never had any issues here, and it’s an easy place to work, grab a bite, and relax.

Panera Bread is always a great experience. The restaurant is clean, bright, and welcoming, which makes it a comfortable place to sit and enjoy a meal. The staff is friendly and helpful, always ready to answer questions and make sure everything is just right. Service is quick, the food is fresh, and the overall atmosphere is calm and pleasant. A reliable spot when you want good food and great service. Brian is always working bringing the patrons their food and keeping things clean. He is always there to help along side his employees. We have been to others and it is just not the same.

i love this establishment. i go here like once a week…im panera addicted. most employees and managers are wonderful. my food is always spectacular, if there ever happens to be a mistake they always fix it without charge and give out freebies when they mess up. theyre awesome and i tip them at least a dollar every time i go!!! BUT tonight i went about an hour before close and this manager was loudly and rudely berating her employees. other people were in the lobby and it was rather uncomfortable. employees looked absolutely miserable. usually the energy in the store is fun and vibrant. i love seeing employees getting along, talking, enjoying their time; the way this manager was talking to her employees was really abhorrent. makes me sad for the employees, hopefully this was just an off day for the manager. ive been in the position of being both a manager and employee in fast food, and its not easy. having a miserable manager ruining your shift when your just trying to get your job done isnt fun.

Panera has definitely improved their menu. I Ordered a steak and white cheddar sandwich online with extra meat and payed an additional $2.65. I also had a strawberry mint lemonade. The order was done quickly. This location is conveniently located, its clean and seams organized. The food taste was excellent. my only complaint would be that I was not given the extra $3 of steak that I paid for. If I did then they must give you about a quarter of an oz for extra meat. Even at Yankees stadium you get more meat for a $15 sandwich.

The food here is very good. But it is also very expensive for what you get. 2 cups of soup paired with 2 half sandwiches. One Refresher drink, (Strawberry, lemonade, mint, yum) and a brownie for $23. I got the dessert because it’s supposed to be .99 but I asked for the kitchen sink cookie and the cashier apologetically said that ‘for some reason’ THAT cookie wasn’t included in the promotion. All this would have been okay, but there was more lettuce than chicken salad on the sandwich. I asked for butter and a knife to go with the side of bread that comes with the soup. I was given 3 tsp sized pats and no knife. I stood waiting for the person to come back to me to ask for the knife at least and I was never acknowledged again. Good service and more chicken on the sandwich would have raised the rating.

If you are elderly or going with someone who is elderly I would go another place for safety reasons. Twice now on different occasions I found sharp pieces in my food – first time was a broken chicken bone in my salad, and the second time (yesterday) was a broken plastic piece in my salad. Both times were through doordash and were salads, so perhaps their prep methods are hastily done for those. Either way, I would steer clear as this is a safety hazard. I am currently trying to see what my options are through doordash because this is unsafe.

I always liked Panera breads around the country. The menu is fairly consistent in the food is usually always very good. This restaurant is no exemption. Enjoyed my visit.

If I was just rating this location I’d give it 3 stars because my most recent experience is mostly about panera corporate. I have eaten here for many years and enjoyed the experience but they have gone downhill In a big way. My most recent experience is a drive through experience. Firstly I can’t believe you can’t get a breakfast sandwich after 10:30. I mean really you are serving sandwiches with bread, cheese and bacon. What do the eggs get locked in a time release safe? So I order a cheesecake chibatta and pull up to the window,at this point still probably a 3 even though 14 dollars for half a sandwich and a bag of chips and a lemonade is a little excessive but I’m still cool. Then after a 10 minute wait at the drive through window I get my food and pull out. Then I open the bag and there is a 4 inch sandwich with about a 1/4 cup of meat cheese and o ions and peppers. Not each mind you all together and a 1 oz bag of chips. There were 4 small chips in the bag. I LITERALLY ate my food then drove over to Wendy’s cause I was still hungry. Never again panera your corporate cost cutting lost you another customer . You are a total waste of money.

Every time I go there they have no plain bagels and I have to wait an hour everytime. Something needs to change cause this is unacceptable as someone who works at a breakfast stop as well. That’s shouldn’t be happening everyday. Just went in again. No plain bagels. No bagels at all. How? You’re a breakfast business.
