At the ups store, decide to eat something, see panera bread. “I’ve never been to a panera bread before, lets try it out” walks into store, 3 women in line at the register. I look at the menu and decide what I want, see 2 men ordering at a self serve kiosks so I go therr and put my order in. $52. Ok… Pretty expensive but I ordered a few different things and the lobster mac and cheese is a limited time item, its probably just pricy because of that right? No. Ok that sucks. Try to pay. This kiosk only takes credit cards. Okay can I put the order in and pay at the register? No. Ok. Would have been nice to know beforehand instead of wasting 5 minuted. A sign that says card only or cash here perhaps. Wait in line behind the 3 women from 12:36 to 12:43. Okay 7 minute have gone by this place must be great for people to waste that much of their lives over a sandwich. Get to the register, try to pay with cash, my bill is $52.80, try to use $100 bill. Cashier looks at me like I asked for his first born child. “Uhh I don’t know if im allowed to take this” brother your items are $15 a piece, the average order is ~ $40 and I need $47 in change you obviously have it. Has to call manager. Manager comes over. “OH my $100 bill? You can accept it we just have to deposit it and put it in the safe immediately” btw you look like clowns doing this and youre legally require to accept legal US tender regardless of your store policy. Wait some more. Get food. Go out and eat it. Genuinely nothing special and dare I say even bad. The lobster mac n cheese was meh, they give u 1 claw and shred it up in a tiny bowl for $18. I think they got confused with my “extra steak” sandwich that I paid $19.26 for after upgrading to fruit cup. They must have read, put as little meat on as possible. The strawberry basil lemonade was good but $4.09 is wild for a juice. I also got an Italian salad and its some $1.79 pre-packaged garbage they mark up to $13. They don’t even bother separating the deli meats that ate thrown in. At the end of the day, tiny portions of mediocre food at exorbitant prices. You’d have to be cognitively deficient to eat here. Not worth it for the “artisinal” experience. The food was fresh though. I will say that most of the stuff was high quality except the meats which are the most important part but I guess that’s how they manipulate their customer demographic. Seems to be a very specific type of person that would eat here regularly.
The restaurant was packed, people were staring, and it was extremely embarrassing and disrespectful. Accusing someone like that without properly verifying an order is completely unprofessional. This should never happen to any customer.
