What a gem! It was our first visit to Pittsburgh & loved this spot so much. The store is full of fun gifts & tasty treats. We had the AMAZING breakfast sandwiches (w/ chive studded biscuits!)! We stopped on our way out of town to bring some fresh pasta & marinara home with us for dinner (in photo) & it was delicious too. Planning return trip with this already on the list of must revisit.

Tons of options. Very very quick for a lunch stop everything is already prepared in the cooler waiting to be chosen! They have salads, sauces, sandwiches, pastries, pasta, coffee drinks, and things to take home and make as well like pasta + sauce. Will definitely be back the service was extremely fast, very friendly + very clean!! There are a few tables outside when it’s nice but no seating inside. More of a take out experience here.

We got back from a terrific vacation in Rome a week ago and already were craving the quality bread and pasta sauces we had while there. Wanting some for dinner, a friend recommended this place as being very close to the food we loved in Rome.
Decided to try it during my lunch break on Friday, ordered on line, food was ready to be picked up on time, the friendly staff took care of me.
They have a lot of choices at this place. Let me just say the two breads and the 2 sauces we tried for dinner transported us back to great dinners we had in Rome.
So happy to have such a great authentic Italian bakery and store providing fresh in house baked breads, sauces and fresh pasta. I am now definitely a regular and will be back for more. Easy parking right out front for pickup orders. If you are in the Strip and want great authentic Italian baked goods, pasta or sauces, this is definitely the place. Thank you Pane e Pronto for making our evening and satisfying our hunger for authentic Italian food.

My husband and I ordered a 2-person Thanksgiving meal. When I went to pick it up, I’m glad I don’t live close by because I’d be going there every day!! The food and pastry choices there are incredible! The food tastes amazing!

The catering arm of DiAnoias eatery just down the street. They have some great Thanksgiving and holiday catering options to feed small or larger crowds. Order in advance for larger meals but there are some items that you can just walk-in and pick up.

A solid place to grab great bread, meatballs, lasagna, or a simple provolone and prosciutto sandwich. They also make a sort of cheesy mashed cauliflower which is fantastic. It’s a great addition to DiAnoia’s mini Penn Ave Italian empire. Much like DiAnoia’s, they also offer some holiday special options for things like Easter and Mother’s Day.
Also I’ll shout out the meatballs again because they’re simply incredible. The police focaccia deserves a special mention too.

Be careful when you order here via delivery apps or even through their own website. Twice now I’ve ordered a sandwich online and haven’t received it even though it appeared available on their website/delivery app. The first time, I ordered ahead and then they called close to my designated pick-up time to say they ran out of my sandwich ingredients— essentially, they didn’t look at the web order and forgot to make my food, even though I ordered as soon as they opened.
The second time, I ordered delivery via Grubhub and they cancelled my sandwich because they didn’t have any made at the time I placed the order. They’ve been perfectly nice and apologetic about it each time, prompt with the refund, and have offered to hook me up the next time I order, but it’s still something to watch out for if you’re relying on the convenience of an online order to make your day run smoother.
The food is great; they’re super nice. I just wish they were more dependable. Don’t bank on them fulfilling your order if you need to plan ahead for your meal!

An order of meatballs and the greens & beans is the perfect meal between stops. They are following the rules with masks and only two people in store. Next time I’m loading up on bread
