We came here two years ago and purchased the Fig Anise bread and it was dense, rustic, and full of figs and a rich anise flavor just as you would expect from a professional baker. Sadly, the bread is nothing like it was two years ago. They reworked the recipe to be something you would find in a grocery store or WalMart. It’s fluffy soft, you can’t spread fresh fruit on it from Graysmarsh berries like you could before and there is a serious lack of figs in the bread (see photo). There is a serious lacking of Anise flavor as well. Barely noticeable. The previous loaves had figs throughout every slice and so far, two thick slices in we’ve only found two small pieces of fig. Sadly this is not the type of bread you would expect from an “artisan” bakery. Be wary of what you’re purchasing before taking home. If ingredient’s have become too expensive then raise the prices. I’d pay for the bread we purchased two years ago but the bread today isn’t worth any dollar spent.

Incredibly disappointing. Two cinnamon rolls were too dry to eat and had barely any cinnamon filling anyway. The almond croissants the same: virtually no filling in what seemed like a not very fresh roll. The sourdough bread loaf was squishy, reminiscent of Wonder Bread. Maybe it was just a bad day, but not sure I’d give it a second chance—all products seemed very pricey to me.

We ordered several pastries as well as sliced seedy sourdough. Everything tasted amazing. I do wish the cowboy croissant was larger (compared to the ham & cheese croissant, the cowboy croissant was half the size and didn’t resemble a croissant). Overall, we would come back!

I used to walk here with my friends at lunch from school. We each only would spend a couple of dollars, and were always rewarded with top notch bread (specifically, a cheesy bread stick thing and a roll). Note however, competition is FIERCE, one should arrive at STORE OPENING if they are interested in a full selection.

Their seedy sourdough loaf is so delicious. The ladies who served us were super lovely and helpful – we were looking for a place to get coffee as well and they directed us to Rainshadow Cafe nearby which had fabulous coffee to go with our loaf.

We went out of our way to stop at this bakery to buy some European-style breads. We bought the rye one, which proved to be ridiculously hard to cut, and tasted like it was made of saw dust. We bought also a sour dough, which was, for change, soft like cotton, and tasted like that, too, in spite of a huge amount of seeds, which did not make it any more appealing. We know and love breads very well, so this experience was extremely disappointing, in spite of the fancy bakery name. Better to bake your own bread! Or buy it at a grocery store.

Very small ordering space, only one person or small group at a time. The grilled cheese sandwiches are really good but it can be a twenty minute wait for them.

Tiny bakery in Sequim, WA. They offer fresh high quality baked goods, bread and pasta. I had a sliced vegetarian focaccia. It was delicious! The price was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. She sliced my focaccia to be smaller pieces! I wish I could eat more. They had both savory and sweet baked good. There is no seating area in the store. Highly recommend!!!

This bakery has some good pastries, but the croissants are a disappointment. They are somehat bitter tasting and not as rich buttery flavor as a nearby coffehouse. I tried them numerous times, but stopped going there for croissants. The prices are very high, even for the tiniest pastry. Waiting in line in the cold or rain at the outside window can be uncomfortabel and take awhile, only to find my favorite item is sold out, since it isn’t easy to view all the choices from their window. Short hours, closed on sunday and monday.

Everything that I have gotten here is amazing, but the bread it the best! There is usually a line if you are not there early and the quality of the items is the reason for that. I highly recommend trying this place out and I will be back every time I am in town.
