The woman that runs the counter over there is awesome. She even knows who I am when I walk in the store after I call in my order. She also does not make mistakes with my phone call order. She quick, speaks clear, she tells me the price over the phone at the end of the call and shes always on point. She goes the extra mile like putting a piece of cardboard in the bag so it doesn’t rip and keep everything upright. Besides that these not much good chinese take out anywhere in the Town of Babylon. So I have been repeat customer over many years. Panda Kitchen is nothing special but the food is pretty good there. Always big portions and you get alot for your money. Its Just your normal run of the mill Chinese takeout place. Well it’s a basic Chinese hole in the wall takeout place in N.Y. Panda Kitchen is exactly the way it’s supposed to be.

We asked for very specific things like swap rice for lo mein, and we asked for the chicken (sesame and orange) to be small pieces cooked extra crispy. They did it every time and it was perfect. Good service, food arrives fast, hot and secure. It’s delicious and great portions too. Highly recommend!

I’ve been ordering food from here for over 3 decades. It’s not that I don’t like Chinese-American food it’s I don’t like the prices at this point. I can go to an authentic Chinese restaurant and eat real Chinese food, which tastes so much better, especially for these prices. I’ve lived in Hawaii. There’s a huge difference between mainland take-out and take-out in Hawaii. In Hawaii, everything is authentic. You can not even get the egg rolls like the mainland. That was the one thing I missed. Thick eggs roll shells. I do love Americanized egg rolls. This place cooks great food, but clearly, the economy is destroying grabbing a quick cheap meal.

I really don’t get all the bad reviews. Panda Kitchen is my go-to restaurant for Chinese food. Not only they have a good selection of the stir-fried classics, but they also have excellent Lo Mein, Chow Mein, Chow Fun and everything else.
Maybe they could be kinder on the phone, but in general it’s always a tasteful and very affordable experience. I order there at least once a week.

Sry, to say this but I’m just being honest! I eat Chinese food @ least 3x a wk. in different places all over the Island as a trade worker, (L.I.). I certainly can critique Chinese food. I got the chicken lo mein pork fried rice lunch special with what I call stale hard rice. With an order of fried pork dumplings that tasted like fish on the outside & pork on the inside. Point being don’t fry pork in the fish fry oil. Not too happy.

Sometimes these dirty hole in the wall chinese places are the best. The wantons can use some more meat filling for sure. But in this area there really isn’t much better chinese take out. Sadly, the Imperial orchid is garbage now. When they changed owners , long river and west islip is not the best as what people make it out to be And the buffet in north babylon is hit or miss either terrible or decent at best. Panda kitchen in west babylon is probably Is the best tasting in this area. The girl at the counter can be nice. Once you get to know her. I was impressed when we ordered the sesame shrimp. As they were handbattered fried shrimps with a thick coating. Pretty tasty. The fried rice is actually brown which is rare these days most places it’s yellow. Boneless sparribs are tasty. The place is usually busy, which means a lot of people order from it. So that’s good that means it’s usually fresh food

I don’t know what these other reviews ARE? Been going there for three years. Place is super clean, Especially the area where they cook. The waiting area is nothing new and extravagant but very clean. Nothing old and dirty there. And food has to be one of top five Chinese fast food on LI. compared to the reviews im reading it had to be under new owner or something drastically changed, five stars all the way.

Called in an order, I guess the female answering the phone could not understand anything I said. I usually call them and order the Panda Special fried rice, and they know me and I have had it delivered promptly every time. This new person at the phone said ok, and nothing came. I called back and she couldn’t really understand me. I love their Panda Special, but I don’t want another experience like that, I’m going to try Bo Bo Kitchen a few blocks away. Panda lost me as a customer with that phone receptionist.
