If i could give this 0 or negative stars i would. Food was okay at best, but what was 1 star worthy was the service! We only saw the waiter when he asked us what to drink, what to order, and when he brought us food. The worst part was after we were done eating, my dad paid for my grandmother as it was her birthday and my dad, sister, my mom, and I left first and my grandmother was heading out the door when one of the servers SHOUTED AT HER AND CORNERED HER saying my dad needs to tip better ( the service was not even top worthy, lucky he got a tip ) and he made my poor grandma tip him more or she wasn’t allowed to leave! Would not recommend to anyone in town.

I so wanted to stiff the waiter to see if they really would chase me through the parking lot to shame me out of $3, but I just couldn’t do it to the guy. Even though he wasn’t great, hardly bad enough to get the stiff on the tip. I don’t think he liked me much though cause I kept bugging him for stupid things like, tea, water, too go containers and to take my payment. So when I asked for crispy noodles for my soup, he snapped back that they got rid of those 10 years ago but he would sell me some crab rangoon. The lady up front wasn’t mean at all, like the other reviews mentioned. Though she didn’t help the waiter do much of anything. The food. Ok let’s get to the food. First off I really didn’t want to go to this place I wanted to do take out, but their menu isn’t listed on line. 10 years and you can’t add a menu? OK… Guess I will do it for you. The food was just OK. Not bad. Best in Norfolk, but that says very little. We will order again, but I am sure it will be take out. I will write another review if I can get the lady up front to go off on me.

It is a very nice place with excellent food and drinks. The server was really nice and he was also the best. I had the Dragon and it came out with a beautiful radish flower. This type of presentation is totally unexpected for the area. A go-to for me.

I just called to place an order and the lady who answered was EXTREMELY rude! She asked if I was ready, told me she was very busy and then hung up on me. Yes, she hung up on me! The only thing I was able to do was ask if they had different sizes. Obviously this was an unacceptable question and the 5 seconds it would have taken to answer and be polite wasn’t worth my business. I will NEVER eat at this restaurant after this experience. I recently moved to town and was looking for a good Chinese restaurant and unfortunately this is what I got. I am very disappointed with Panda Garden and will never recommend it to anyone.

I love Panda Garden. Glad to see them open again. Feel like there must be some problems because some people had waited over 45 minutes to get their order taken. There was 1 woman at the counter and a waiter. He was friendly, she, not so much. Will continue to go back because I love the food and hate to see them close permanently. Whatever the issue is, I’m sure it will get better.

Do not EVER place an order over the phone if you are not ready to put up with the rude lady. Trust me, you WILL get upset.
My advice is.. if you want to eat their food, dine in and hope to be served by the male waiter.

I’ve had the food from here once before, about a month ago. Traditional/average meal. Called to place an order for pick up today & the woman who answered was so incredibly rude! I placed my order & arrived at the counter for pick up. Wasn’t acknowledged by any of the staff as I stood at the counter, for about 5 minutes. Then, when the woman came out I asked for a menu & she said “food is cooking, no change order”, when I was considering adding something. With her again rude response I said no thank you & I’d like to check out. She said later & disappeared to the back. With there being other Chinese restaurants in this town, her attitude is enough to keep me from ever returning.
