Reviews
Ordered 2 items with fried rice and noodle, the serving for entree portion is bad, I had to order more food since I was not given enough portion for my meal.
Looks like the serving portion is for kids, not for adult
If existential dread had a flavor, it would be the Fried Rice Bowl at Panda Express.
I walked in hungry. I walked out spiritually hollow, holding a bowl that was 90% fried rice — which, in fairness, had all the excitement of chewing on warm packing peanuts seasoned with despair. The “entrée” was more of a rumor. I ordered String Bean Chicken Breast, but what I received was a steaming pile of green beans in a light sauce of broken dreams, with microscopic shards of chicken hidden like shame in a family secret.
Honestly, if I wanted to dig through a field of starch just to find a trace of meat, I’d go back to the Great Depression. The chicken was so scarce, I started to wonder if it was an endangered species. Blink and you’ll miss it — which I did, because it was literally not there.
The server did their part too: expertly scooping the fried rice like they were trying to bury something underneath it. Probably my expectations.
If you’ve ever wondered what it feels like to be scammed politely with a smile, Panda Express is happy to provide that service. Just don’t forget to bring your sense of humor — and maybe a side of actual protein — because the only thing heavier than the bowl is the crushing weight of disappointment.
However, as I was leaving hungry and rushing back to work, I noticed my order was marked as completed instead of refunded. That dishonesty is what really upset me.
This has never happened at Chipotle or Chick-fil-A, where my orders are always ready on time. Very disappointing experience.
