After a four hour long drive, I decided to stop at Panda Express with my mom to grab something to eat. I ordered teriyaki chicken, steak and shrimp, and a half-and-half side of chow mein and super greens. When I asked for the super greens, I noticed there weren’t any in the tray. The manager (or who I assume is the manager, since he’s always in a different shirt and usually directing the team whenever I visit) told me there would be a bit of a wait, but they’d be ready soon. I told him that was fine.
He then called over to two employees on the grill and let them know he needed super greens.

That’s when things got a little odd—they immediately started complaining and saying something back to him (I couldn’t make out what). Naturally, I was watching because I was confused. You’re on the grill, you’re supposed to be cooking sides and entrees, and a customer requested something you offer—so why the attitude? It honestly didn’t make sense.

Anyway, my mom paid for the food, and we reminded the cashier that our order included super greens. She told us, “Oh, they already put them in your plate.” That was surprising, because the manager had just said they needed to be cooked. When I got home and opened my plate, I found only three small pieces of broccoli and a single piece of cabbage.

It was disappointing, especially because I come here enough and almost always get chow mein and super greens so I know the portions. I don’t expect a huge portion, but at least a reasonable amount—especially when I’m paying for a side that’s meant to be vegetables. To make things worse, the broccoli I did get was barely even cooked.

Honestly, I think I’ll be taking a break from this location for a while. I could’ve gone to China Star down the street, gotten more food, no attitude, and spent less money—even if they had to cook it fresh.

I really wish I would’ve taken a photo of my plate last night, I ordered a plate with white rice, beef and broccoli and the mushroom chicken, when I tell you that the kids meal had more than my plate it’s not an exaggeration. I had like maybe 2 pieces of beef and 2 pieces of broccoli and half a scoop of the mushroom chicken on my plate and maybe a scoop of white rice, i got home and couldn’t believe. I hadn’t been to panda in a longtime I don’t think I will be going back anytime soon or maybe dine in would be better.

Once again, they were out of string bean chicken. I got teriyaki chicken instead AND big mistake. Talk about waste of money! It wasn’t eatable! Greasy pretty much all fat. It was disgusting. Last time I had Panda was a couple of years ago and at that time I said I wouldn’t go back because the servings have decreased a lot and the price had hone up horribly. My family wanted some so we went back, just to be seriously disappointed AGAIN. Enough tries! No more! This place really sucks BIG TIME!

Extremely small portions of entrees from the drive through and the Beijing beef was so dry it should not have been given out. Wouldn’t recommend this location

If I place an online order, please work on that order and stop prioritizing drive-thru, my order should have been ready 30 minutes ago and yet all the drive-thrus keep getting their orders fulfilled as they come.

Its Panda. The Americanized Chinese Food pit stop. The food is good and the fast service is always a plus. They have a tea bar in this location, so if you are into thai tea or flavored specialty teas they’ve got that as well.

Update 4/17/2021 – Seems as of late, they have changed some ordering procedures. If you want sauces of any kind, you need to ask when you order or at the window or they will not put any in your bag. Learned this the hard way. Got a couple miles down the road and had to turn around, so I snatched some pics while I was at it.

Employees are rude and act like you bothered them. I came through the drive thru and ordered 2 plates I only received one fork no napkins no sauces that I asked for and when I asked the employee he looked annoyed that I asked for a second fork for my 2 plates. He kept closing the window and tried to wait for me to drive off when all I wanted was napkins forks and sauces for the food I ordered. EDIT: Decided to give this location a second chance after the last horrible experience 7 months ago and was met with another horrible experience. Ordered Broccoli Beef and only got Broccoli. Food in my family meal was not filled. Got a family meal and only got 2 fortune cookies and no utensils.

Never ceases to amaze me, boyfriend and I went to panda express for lunch today on his break and of course the food was gross. The noodles had no flavor. They gave me five shrimps for a bowl. I thought it was one scoop I could totally be Trippin and my boyfriend was a plate and he asked for two servings of orange chicken. Orange chicken tasted old and so did spring rolls. I’m starting to give up on this place. Also drive-through lady spilled soda all down my boyfriends sweater sleeve then when I proceeded to ask for a napkin, she said they’ll be napkins in the bag.

Ps why is the inside of the store always closed?

I arrived on Sunday afternoon and saw no Super Greens vegetables and Chow Mein noodles. It was busy even though it was about 4 p.m. and the staff seemed to work fast to match customer flow. It took about twenty minutes or more to get the Super Greens and the Chow Mein to be available again. Perhaps, there was a shift change that coincided with the busy surge of customers. I am satisfied with my order even if I have to wait awhile.

My wife and my 7 year old son got food poisoning from the orange chicken hear on November 16th. Pretty bad. Yep good old Yucca Valley workers intelligence and enthusiasm.
