Terrible Experience – Please Don’t Risk Your Health!

I had an extremely disappointing and disturbing experience at this restaurant, and I strongly urge others to avoid it — especially this location.

I ordered fried rice, chicken with mushrooms, and sweet and sour chicken. While eating, I found something black inside a piece of carrot — it turned out to be completely rotten on the inside. It’s clear they simply sliced it and cooked it without checking the quality or freshness.

This isn’t just carelessness — it’s a serious health risk. Using spoiled ingredients shows complete disregard for customer well-being. I felt disgusted and upset knowing that they’re willing to serve food in such unsanitary conditions.

I will never return, and I strongly recommend you do not eat here. Protect your health and spend your money somewhere that actually cares.

I came in around 8:30 PM, about an hour and a half before closing. Some of the food I wanted didn’t look appetizing — it looked like it had been sitting out for a while and had gotten soggy. I politely asked John if he could make a fresh batch because of how it looked.

He told me it was still good and had only been made two hours ago. He was reluctant to make more until I told him how much I planned to order. After he made a new batch, he then proceeded to put the same food I had just pointed out as looking bad into my bowl.

When I told him I didn’t want that and reminded him I had already mentioned it looked spoiled, he responded with “why not?” as if I hadn’t already explained. He also made a face and seemed visibly annoyed.

I understand restaurants don’t want to waste food, but if something looks old and a customer respectfully asks for it to be fresh — especially well before closing — it shouldn’t be an issue. The interaction felt dismissive and unprofessional, and it definitely impacted my experience.

I wanted some quick and easy came here this evening (which I thought was a great option since NO OTHER CARS were at the drive thru)… went to the drive thru no one said anything I said “hello” and received the response “I hear you, hold on” RUDE! I waited over 5 minutes for DAISY S. (As shown on receipt) to get back to me and when she did I received a “what do you want” kind of attitude and no apology for the long wait. When I pulled up to the window she was snarling and rolling her eyes. If I wasn’t so tired and didn’t have my toddler in the car I would’ve left and went elsewhere but not to worry because of Daisy’s disgusting attitude you’ve lost a customer for good.

This Panda is awful. Save yourself the time it is not worth it. I waited for five minutes just to have someone come the the speaker in drive through and then 20 minutes is line. I finally went inside and the drive through person Daisy, is also the GM. She could not possibly care less about her job, her customers, food quality or anything. Rolling her eyes, walking away when I ask a question. Absolutely terrible. The food was ice cold. Pre-made food they scoop was cold as ice. So it probably sat for the 15 minutes I was waiting in line. Don’t go here! I can not stress that enough.

Decent food and customer service. Just wanted to check out the Buffalo Grove location. Food was fresh and staff were welcoming as well. Fried rice took a bit of time to be prepared but understandable given that it is a newly opened one. Also, there were many drive through customers. But one of the staff was kind enough to check on us while we waited.

Came to support the new location! All the crew was so kind and really hooked up our plates. We came during the dinner rush around 5:30pm and our fried rice, chow mein, and orange chicken was FRESH. The interior is so cute and modern, the seating is comfy and clean. My new Panda spot!

This location opened recently and today was my first time going there, food is fresh and orange chicken tasted good, not too vinegary as in some other locations. Customer service was amazing, which is appreciated. Inside the restaurant it’s very clean and food is displayed very neatly and looks appetizing.

This is the worst Panda Express location.
1. Service terrible
2. Food is not good
3. It take forever to get your order to be ready.

You will wait 20 plus minutes to get your food if you order through the app and they still get it wrong.

If you want Panda Express just drive to the one in Palatine or Wheeling and you’ll get your food quicker there than this location.

Really disappointed…
Arrived mid afternoon on a Saturday, most of the foods were empty. Still waited to give them the benefit of the doubt.. Chicken teriyaki was 70% fat.
Employees don’t smile or seem to want to be there. I myself work in in food service. Management has to improve… Hope it gets better!(so I can change my review)
