Reviews
The joint looked new and was very clean and shiny.
The woman behind the counter was very patient explaining how the food choices worked.
Basically you pick a base starch (white, brown, fried rice or noodles) and then whatever protein you want on top of it.
I asked the associate what’s the most popular choice and she said the Orange Chicken. So I got that over noodles.
My buddy got the same but over brown rice.
We got a side of Cheese Rangoon.
The Orange Chicken was very sticky sweet. Sweeter than General Tao’s Chicken would be. Not spicy, ok tasting, tender. Noodles were cooked al dente but had really no flavor at all.
Brown rice also had no flavor.
Cheese Rangoon was probably the best part of the meal. Super crispy with a very lightweight cream cheese filling.
Sweetened Black Tea was really sweet, sweeter than McDonald’s sweet tea. Many people would do well to leave some room in the cup and then add some water from the soda fountain.
My fortune cookie was rather unfortunate, and was actually empty.
Even with the buy one get one free coupon, it really just wasn’t that good of a meal. Service was good, but really no reason to return.
I’d suggest New Peking a half mile up the road, for some much better prepared Chinese food.
