Showed them the receipt and they compted a free side of the entree that was missing which was a nice gesture. However, we got home, it was still the wrong entree. The new AI ordering got it right, but not the workers.
One chow mein was inedible as it tasted very gross versus the other; while also consisting of like 80% non-noodle. Smelled like a shoe. Then the wrong item (broccoli and beef) tasted down right sour and spoiled; inedible.Only saving grace was the other 3 entrees of the 5 entrees shown were just “ok” versus how they taste on a good day. Not worth the 23$ spent. Orders wrong multiple times and just not good food.
If the customer is not there to fill their own drinks, that does not mean the job falls to the delivery driver. It falls to the restaurant but most restaurant employees do not know this or do not care and they do not care to research it either apparently. Either they are not educated well enough on the subject when they are hired or they just don’t want to have to do their jobs.
All of the Panda Express’s are like this and they all hand us the cup expecting us to do their job for them and for free.
Again, just because the customer is not there to do their own drink, it does not mean the delivery driver does the drink. We are not to prepare the order. We pick up the order and drop off the order. It is not our job to prepare it in any way.
One of the employees here at the Highland, Indiana location on October 24th, 2025 at about 8:40 p.m. gave me the cup for me to do the drink. I politely explained that we are not to do the drink and that it’s against Uber policy and he told me then that I could not deliver the order. So because I would not do his job, he would not let me do my job. That is so wrong and messed up. The managers need to do better to be informed themselves about this issue and inform their employees that THEY must prepare the drinks for the online orders and inform them that it is NEVER a delivery driver’s job to prepare the order in any way.
Get it together people. We’ve been doing this long enough that you should know these things by now. And please fire the jerks, because that guy was a total jerk about this. I wish I would have gotten his name. All I know is he was about of medium height and was thin and had brown hair and a mustache and perhaps a goatee. And red round cheeks. Big brown eyes I believe. He was extremely rude and forceful about trying to get me to do the drink wrongfully. In my opinion he should be fired. He’s lazy and was being a jerk and I think he really just wanted to pass his job off onto me.
Editing this to add that in the agreement with Uber, you have agreed as a company to prepare the order and you are not abiding by your agreement when you hand us the cup to do your job. I have called Uber and told them that your employee there handed me the cup expecting me to do his job and that when I explained it’s not my job, he was still forcefully trying to get me to do it and then would not give me the order to deliver it and caused me to lose money. Uber said that they were going to take action and that something would be done about it and I truly hope they do something. They better because this situation with you guys and other restaurants who do the same thing is really old.
Listen, all you guys have to do is research this on google and you would see for yourselves that you are to do the drinks. The managers ought to know this from the agreement that they signed with Uber. Read the stinking contract.
Abide by the agreement. Stop being a pain in our butts and stop causing us to lose money. And that employee should not have power over me to determine that I cannot do my job due to me not doing his job. It is not okay that he gets away with that.
And in addition, he threatened that he would make sure I could not pick up orders there anymore. What pompous people you hire.
For the record, the smart Uber Eats delivery drivers avoid your restaurant since you hand us the cup(s) and we avoid all of the restaurants that hand us the cup(s). Only the people who are willing to break Uber’s rules go to your restaurants and fill the drinks. They’re foolish. They are risking their jobs unnecessarily. They are part of the problem and not the solution. I took a chance today and went there thinking there could potentially be a wise and reasonable employee there to fill the drink but there wasn’t one.
