Reviews
Alan was professional, patient, and attentive. He handled the pressure well and did everything he could to keep things running smoothly, Alan’s customer service skills were phenomenal.
When well-kept, the atmosphere feels clean, lively, and efficient — with the smell of fresh stir-fry and orange chicken filling the air. However, depending on the location, the atmosphere can sometimes feel rushed or messy if the dining area isn’t maintained.
When I walked in, one of the employees, who was cleaning, was standing with her phone and didn’t even look up. I approached the food station, and after a while, another employee reluctantly came over. I greeted her, but she barely acknowledged me and mumbled a quiet “hi” while giving me a disinterested look.
It was obvious that they had already started closing and were in the process of putting things away. Most of the food had already been removed from the heating station, and I noticed that three trays of Orange Chicken and other dishes were sitting without any heat, just left next to other items.
I asked if I could still place an order, and there was a small amount of Orange Chicken left. I requested a medium box of Orange Chicken to-go, and instead of serving it fresh or offering to warm it up, the employee scooped it directly from the tray that was not under any heat source. Naturally, the chicken was cold, which is completely unacceptable.
Not only did this impact the quality of the food, but it also raises concerns about food safety regulations. Food that is no longer kept at a safe temperature should not be served. It’s unclear how long it had been sitting there, but food safety guidelines exist for a reason.
I understand that they close at 9:30 PM, but at 8:40 PM, there was still plenty of time before closing, and yet they had already started shutting everything down while leaving food at unsafe temperatures.
To make matters worse, the other employee, who was supposed to be cleaning, was sitting in a corner, away from the cameras, scrolling through her phone for quite a while instead of doing her job.
Overall, I am extremely disappointed with both the customer service and the lack of adherence to food safety standards at this location. This is not the level of service or quality I expected from Panda Express.
I’m a loyal customer who visits Panda Express about 3–4 times a week across many locations. I truly enjoy your food — it’s delicious and usually consistent. However, during my recent visit to your Holcomb Bridge Road location, I had a disappointing experience.
There were three people ahead of me, and only one staff member, Katlen, was serving. At first, I thought she was just slow, but I realized she was hesitating — putting food on the plate, then taking it back again, unsure if she was giving too much. As a result, all customers were visibly uncomfortable because the portions were quite small.
When it was my turn, she did the same. I politely mentioned that my portion looked smaller than usual, but she insisted it wasn’t, explaining that there were “three shrimps and five beef pieces.” I visit many Panda Express locations, and this one always serves noticeably less food.
After finishing my meal, which normally takes me around 12–13 minutes, I was done in just 4–5 minutes — that’s how small the portion was. It felt disappointing, as if the employee was acting like a very cautious co-owner of the restaurant.
Thankfully, she didn’t start counting the rice grains one by one — otherwise, we might have been waiting three days just to get our food!
I really hope this feedback helps improve consistency and service quality at this location. Panda Express is one of my favorite places, and I’d love to continue enjoying it the way I always have.
