The atmosphere of Panda Express is generally casual, fast-food style, and family-friendly. Most locations are set up with bright lighting, open seating, and a straightforward, no-frills design focused on quick service and convenience. It’s not meant to be a “sit-down dining experience” but rather a place to grab a quick, affordable meal.

Alan was professional, patient, and attentive. He handled the pressure well and did everything he could to keep things running smoothly, Alan’s customer service skills were phenomenal.

When well-kept, the atmosphere feels clean, lively, and efficient — with the smell of fresh stir-fry and orange chicken filling the air. However, depending on the location, the atmosphere can sometimes feel rushed or messy if the dining area isn’t maintained.

I visited Panda Express at 8:40 PM, and my experience was very disappointing.
When I walked in, one of the employees, who was cleaning, was standing with her phone and didn’t even look up. I approached the food station, and after a while, another employee reluctantly came over. I greeted her, but she barely acknowledged me and mumbled a quiet “hi” while giving me a disinterested look.
It was obvious that they had already started closing and were in the process of putting things away. Most of the food had already been removed from the heating station, and I noticed that three trays of Orange Chicken and other dishes were sitting without any heat, just left next to other items.
I asked if I could still place an order, and there was a small amount of Orange Chicken left. I requested a medium box of Orange Chicken to-go, and instead of serving it fresh or offering to warm it up, the employee scooped it directly from the tray that was not under any heat source. Naturally, the chicken was cold, which is completely unacceptable.
Not only did this impact the quality of the food, but it also raises concerns about food safety regulations. Food that is no longer kept at a safe temperature should not be served. It’s unclear how long it had been sitting there, but food safety guidelines exist for a reason.
I understand that they close at 9:30 PM, but at 8:40 PM, there was still plenty of time before closing, and yet they had already started shutting everything down while leaving food at unsafe temperatures.
To make matters worse, the other employee, who was supposed to be cleaning, was sitting in a corner, away from the cameras, scrolling through her phone for quite a while instead of doing her job.
Overall, I am extremely disappointed with both the customer service and the lack of adherence to food safety standards at this location. This is not the level of service or quality I expected from Panda Express.

Dear Panda Express Team,

I’m a loyal customer who visits Panda Express about 3–4 times a week across many locations. I truly enjoy your food — it’s delicious and usually consistent. However, during my recent visit to your Holcomb Bridge Road location, I had a disappointing experience.

There were three people ahead of me, and only one staff member, Katlen, was serving. At first, I thought she was just slow, but I realized she was hesitating — putting food on the plate, then taking it back again, unsure if she was giving too much. As a result, all customers were visibly uncomfortable because the portions were quite small.

When it was my turn, she did the same. I politely mentioned that my portion looked smaller than usual, but she insisted it wasn’t, explaining that there were “three shrimps and five beef pieces.” I visit many Panda Express locations, and this one always serves noticeably less food.

After finishing my meal, which normally takes me around 12–13 minutes, I was done in just 4–5 minutes — that’s how small the portion was. It felt disappointing, as if the employee was acting like a very cautious co-owner of the restaurant.

Thankfully, she didn’t start counting the rice grains one by one — otherwise, we might have been waiting three days just to get our food!

I really hope this feedback helps improve consistency and service quality at this location. Panda Express is one of my favorite places, and I’d love to continue enjoying it the way I always have.

The food was okay. The restaurant closed at 9:30 and I went in at about 8:45. I was told that was all the food they had left. I was surprised that was how I was greeted. After packing to move all day, we were hungry so I chose to just purchase anyway since I was already there. Despite being told the orange chicken was just made it did taste like it had been sitting for a while. What did taste good was the walnut shrimp. I haven’t been to this location before. I can tell you I will certainly not go again anywhere close to closing time to try it again.

I went to this location last night to get 2 of their Bigger Plates with honey sesame chicken and orange chicken. They were out of many items including what I ordered, so I waited. The lady put the rice in the two containers and set them to the side. I’m sitting in the dining room for 25-30 minutes waiting for my order before I just walked out without my food. So I figured I would try again today, big mistake. I went in at 1pm to order the Family Meal, once again they didn’t have enough honey sesame chicken so I had to wait again. While waiting I observed one of the workers that I will call Kay, that didn’t seem to have the best customer service skills. She appeared to not understand what the customers were trying to order or how they wanted their items prepared. She was also skimpy with the portions, as though she was fixing her own plate. When she was fixing my order I asked her to make sure the containers were full because I’ve gotten home before and they were like 2/3 full. I asked to check my containers and she refused, so I refused as well and left the food there. Needless to say I’m highly disappointed at this location because the food and the service is normally top notch. I was offered a drink or anything while I waited and normally they will when you are waiting for a long time. Not sure I’ll be returning because is happening too frequently at this location lately.

I went here after my work shift for dinner, I arrived 40 minutes before close and I already felt bad because I don’t normally do that. However I did because it was the closest place on my way home. When I walked in they were already closing and mopping the floor, no issue in that. However when I asked for my bowl, I said I wanted fried rice. She told me there wasn’t enough and asked to fill the rest with white rice. You guys close in 40 minutes? You’re telling me you can’t go and make some?

So this was our first time coming to this panda express and we have been in Roswell over five years. I cannot remember the store associates name I believe it was Ari. I think it started with a for sure. However, he was really nice explain to me how to order a platter if I wanted multiple nails and some of his favorite meat selections. I went with the orange chicken, sesame, chicken teriyaki, chicken noodles, fried rice and beef with broccoli. My favorite was the orange chicken and the sesame chicken. Everything that I had was really good with the beef was probably my least favorite. And the prices are good too. Can’t wait to come back.

Worst experience ever. My broccoli with steak was only broccoli which I brought to the attn to Brenda, the service lady and she told me that the plate was supposed to be broccoli with a little steak but the picture does not justify the price. Food was dry and without flavor. I asked for salt and Brenda again with a dry tone told me we dont have salt or pepper. I can only asume that the location of Panda Express in decline and probably wont be there very long with this kind of service.

I only posted this review because this is the second time that I’ve been to this location and the same young lady JEN has been very rude both times & customer service was less than awful! It was only 8:30pm and She refused to have fresh rice be replaced with the hard, dried and stuck to the bottom of the pan rice which they had left. That’s not good business. This is surely my final & last time going to this location. She needs to work in the kitchen and not on the front line. She’s a BAD representation of Panda Express. Rude & Nasty
