I’ve been coming here for a while and usually enjoyed the food, but the quality and service have gotten really bad recently. A few days ago I ordered the teriyaki wings and they were dry with almost no sauce, which was disappointing because they’re normally good.
Today I ordered a large beef and broccoli combo, and the portion had very little beef and mostly broccoli. I called to ask about it and the call was hung up on, so I went in person to get it resolved. When I got there, the staff were laughing and had an attitude. The manager told me I “should have ordered a small” if I wanted more meat. That doesn’t make any sense a large should come with more, not less.
They then told me I had to pay $2 more just to get more beef, even though I had already paid for a large. And when they added more, the meat still didn’t look or taste fresh. It had an off smell and texture, like it had been sitting out too long or not cooked properly. For the price I paid, this ended up being a waste of money.
According to their menu, this dish is offered in Small or Large sizes but what I got as a large looked like a small, and the quality was not acceptable. The experience was unprofessional and disappointing, and I left feeling disrespected as a loyal customer.
I hope management takes this seriously and improves the service, food freshness, and portion consistency.
This is unacceptable.

I moved to Bluffton 1 year ago from Southern California. My life had been filled with many amazing times in the Chinatown district of Los Angeles. We would go to Hop Louies .. a location used for many movie sets on a regular basis. It was a family tradition. Jasmine tea, egg foo young, and pork fried rice. I have been looking for a Chinese restaurant since we moved here that served a good egg foo young. There were some ok experiences, but tonight – oh tonight! Panda was clean and had soft, sweet music playing.. the smells were amazing, and the service was professional and courteous. I have driven past it many times. Tonight, we stopped in. A variety of Egg Foo Young on the menu! I ordered Chicken Egg Foo Young! Husband ordered Orange Beef. We ordered pork fried rice, and white rice came with the entrees. My order was perfect. Crispy around the edges, freshly made with chicken and vegetables in a wonderful large patty. 3 large patties with brown gravy to the order. The Orange Beef was great, according to Husband. Pork fried rice was incredible, but
I’ve found my Egg Foo Young! I’ll sample other types and other items , but honestly? This is it for me. I miss a lot from California, but the beauty and family we have here far outweigh my “other home.” I have kids here and will take them to Panda to create memories for them here and tell them stories of wild nights in Hollywood and late suppers at Hop Louies. I’ll also tell them that Panda’s Egg Foo Young shines bright. I’m so glad we stopped in. Thank you, Panda!

DO NOT GO HERE! We have ordered from this place once before and it was good, I don’t know if there are new owners or what but we had the worst experience. Ordered our food and got all the way home and realized the entire order was wrong. Went back and this guy came out yelling at us saying we can’t get our money back because we wasted his food….??? I don’t know what restaurant yells at their customers but it was unacceptable. We will never go back. Also the place is dirty, hot as hell and the food quality is horrible. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone after this experience.

One word I would use to describe my food was clean tasting … like, it was all super fresh and healthy food where you tasted flavors and the natural textures were there. They didn’t try to over fry / oil / fatten the food to make it better, so it felt like the real food rather than what food critics call an Americanized version. The spring rolls were the perfect crunchiness and suppleness and did not fall apart, and were perfectly sized and rolled. The vegetable and bean curd soup has a flavorful, pleasant broth, the bean curd (tofu) and vegetables are perfectly cooked, and the soup warms and fills you but makes you feel brighter and fed rather than heavy and weighed down. Even the fried noodles they give you on the side were fresh, light and not over done. I will definitely be returning!

The reviews for this place are funny, but the owner’s responses are hilarious.

We ordered General Tso’s Chicken, Sweet & Sour Chicken, Fried Rice & Vegetable Fried Rice. The General Tso’s had a fishy flavor. The portions are very generous! You’re getting your money’s worth, but in quantity, not quality.

Edit: My husband woke up sick in the middle of the night after we ate here… He said it happened the previous two times he ordered from here too… We’ll be eating somewhere else next time!

Oh my god I love this place, I just got off a long day of work and ordered from this place. It was INCREDIBLE. The foods nice and hot (despite me walking back to the hotel AND taking a shower before eating it), it’s incredibly saucey and flavorful, the egg rolls were perfectly crunchy, the service was amazing and fast, and I only spent 16 dollars?? You need to try this place, best Chinese food I’ve ever had.

Ordered orange chicken and fried rice to go. Chicken was so tough I could barely get a fork into it. The flavor wasnt terrible on the chicken but there were too many bites I had to spit out because of something that didn’t feel like chicken. I had to stop eating the chicken after that and the fried rice was bland but the only thing I felt comfortable about eating. Was not Impressed and will not be going back.

Just picked up carry-out. Sesame chicken plate, and sweet & sour plate.
All the food just seemed old and chicken was tough. Egg rolls not very good either. Fortune cookies stale. Normally we are very easy to please but this was not good at all. Hope we don’t get sick later.
