I haven’t been here in almost 20 years, but as a child my family would come to Pancho’s on sundays after church. It has never been a fine dining experience, but when you want to feed your whole family, this was the place to be. On this trip, I found the food to be hot, fresh and seasoned well. Service was great. Kind and attentive. Sopapillas were to die for and were fresh out of the fryer. More importantly to me was the cleanliness of the place. Floors were spotless, and the building seemed to be well maintained which was surprising due to how long they have been here. Great Job Panchos.

We should’ve known better than to make this our quick stop for a bite before heading back out of town based on the previous reviews and rating, but there seemed to be a decent amount of cars in the parking lot on Friday afternoon so we went in.
The minimal variety of food available was extremely bland, barely warm, and a general mess of slop. Everything just seemed to mush together. The salad bar was a poor excuse of lettuce and tomato and the dessert cart was an arrangement of what seemed to be day (or 4) old brownies, store-bought cookies and pudding.
There were 3 other people eating in the restaurant and at least 5 employees (from what we saw). Not a great sign on a Friday.
The floor was sticky like it hadn’t been mopped in weeks. My husband took our son to the bathroom and found that the men’s bathroom had a broken soap dispenser so properly washing your hands is not an option, which begs to question how the workers do.
None of us were able, or desired, to finish our food. The most flavorful item offered was the soda. We left a small tip for the friendly waitress and unfortunately plates still full of unfinished food.
After leaving I had a feeling that the vehicles in the parking lot were entirely for the workers. Would generally not recommend, unless you like bland Mexican food and a possible case of E.coli poisoning.

Monday noonish
Food is goodish, as always.
The good:
Easy to get to with plenty of parking.
The place is clean though i didn’t use the restroom, so can’t comment on that.
The food is pretty good to me. I get 2 tamales with chili, 1 flauta, 1 taquitos, rice and beans, a tostada, 3 tacos, with a refill of 2, 2 baskets of chips and salsa, and all delicious to me, thought probably wouldn’t be for a discerning palette, Pico and jalapeños from the salad bar. Sopapillas are delicious, but I just don’t eat them any more. I usually finish with an ice cream cone out the door but no cones the last 3 times. They have lots of yummy enchiladas as well, as well as a few more things, but not my thing.
The bad:
They’ve raised the price to 23 dollars a head, which is too much. I can go to taco casa and pig out for that price and still have money to spare.
The server girl was not attentive, barely came back, and i was out of tea for 10 minutes 2 times. Some other server grabbed it once to refill it, since I looked desperate. I saw my server in the order line taking the money for a line of people. Why would my server be working the register while waiting on people?
No ice cream cones again, which is one of my favorite endings. You can put it in a bowl, but I can’t walk out the door with that and it’s not as good.
The salad bar seems to get smaller every time I go.

It used to be good. Now the taquitos were overcooked, the flautas were soggy, the enchiladas tasted like they had been on the line for days. The rice was dry… The sopapillas (or however you spell that) were the only thing that was good. I will never be back.

This is an older place and you can see the age but it still looked pretty good. The employees were friendly and attentive. I don’t care for their food or salsa. Everything is bland and the salsa reminds me of Pace. This was the first time since I was a kid going here and probably my last.

Always a great experience since I was a child as a mom now in her 40s I would definitely recommend this place as a child friendly kids eat free under 3. The food is always hot and ready. The sopapilla’s are still the best as I remember since I was a child. You can also buy these cool new magnets.

Poncho’s used to be my favorite restaurant, growing up. I don’t believe that I am overreacting when I say that the food is horrible now. The service is good, the people are always good, the environment still has that poncho’s feel to it, but they don’t put any energy in their food like they use to. They need to go back to the drawing board with their cooks

The childhood memories of Panchos were great, the present day Panchos is still good. We always say it’s the last time we go… The service was great! The chicken tacos are the best flavor so juicy. The place overall looked & was very clean. The bathrooms were interesting. The sopapillas were golden crispy and amazing. Will we go again? Probably will in a year! May God continue to give them favor.

I have been going to Pancho’s since 1966. They slowly started closing down after the Mr.Bowden sold the business. Then we moved to Colorado, and Utah. We recently moved back to Fort Worth and saw a Pancho’s (Jacksboro Hwy.). We decided to stop in for an early dinner. It was not the same. It is now $13.00 for all you can eat ($5.99 when I was younger). The food was not nearly as good. Not as clean and not much service. I guess it is a good memory anyway.

Dirty restaurant, no smiles on faces of employees. Buffet servers rushed us through as though sending cows to slaughter. Man checking us out did not smile or welcome us either.
