I ordered pozole and it was very good. It’s not completely authentic – they serve it without cabbage or oregano – but it comes with shredded lettuce, chopped radishes and onions and it was delicious. They gave me a choice of tostadas or tortillas to go with it. The tortillas are handmade. The prices were also reasonable. One odd thing to keep in mind: they give you popcorn instead of chips…
We’ll definitely come back!
First, the picture. That is what was placed on my table when I sat down at this MEXICAN RESTAURANT. That is a bowl of lightly buttered, way too salty popcorn. Not Chips, Not Salsa, Not even a Jar of hot sauce to taunt you. Way too salty, Movie Theater, Popcorn.
I just passed it off as a joke whatever, idk. I asked the waitress for water when I sat down and took a moment to look at the menu.
It took over 10 minutes, me getting up to get her attention, her coming over looking down and saying “Oh Water!” and then servicing another table before finally getting me water. By this time my throat was factually dry, and I was thirsty and very annoyed.
No ice in the water either, just straight out of the tap, nothing else, just again telling me I’m not welcome there.
I ordered the Al Pastor, The Asada, and The Carnitas Taco.
She came back and I ate the first taco, Carnitas np, tasty, okay, very tiny miniature disappointing soft taco and corn tortillas barely large enough to put anything else on besides a small portion of meat.
I bit into the next taco and had to spit it out, CHORIZO. I am highly allergic to the spices in Chorizo, and 2 of the 3 tacos that were made for me, were chorizo.
The waitress didnt apologize, she only said oh do you want that remade? I said no thank you, left $5 on the table for the one taco I ate, and left the restaurant.
I will not pay for poor almost criminal service. Nobody else should either if they treat their customers like they’re unwanted.
Accessible venue and entry. Next door to a true Mexican Deli and Market
Free van accessible parking in private lot.
The prices were incredible for the variety, amount, and quality of food you get.
I’ve been dying to find a real Mexican restaurant in Florida (not just Tex Mex).
Service was great too! We will return!
I had a great experience at Pancho Villa! The tacos were fresh and flavorful—especially the carne asada and shrimp tacos, which were loaded with juicy meat, onions, and cilantro. The seafood cocktail (coctel de camarón) was a standout: super refreshing, packed with shrimp, avocado, lime, and just the right amount of spice.
I was pleasantly surprised to get popcorn as a starter—definitely a fun, casual touch. The green and red salsas were both excellent, with the green one adding a nice kick. Great portion sizes, vibrant flavors, and everything tasted fresh.
Service was quick and friendly, and the overall vibe was relaxed and authentic. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m craving tacos and seafood!
It was GREAT tonight. I had the enchiladas (4) and they were excellent. The Verde sauce on them was yummy too.
Authentic Mexican food, not an American restaurant serving “almost” Mexican food. I don’t go to Chili’s for Chinese food…. You can tell the difference between the food from here and say Carmelita’s Mexican Grill & Cantina. I didn’t see any Latinos eating at Carmelita’s. I saw many here. That is a good sign to me.
A review said the owner was racist? I didn’t see that either time I have been there… Tonight I was politely greeted when I walked in by the older gentleman behind the counter, my server was pleasant and came back to make sure the food was good and I didn’t need anything. That same gentleman walked around and asked every person/table if everything was good….
I will be back
