The fried avocado tacos were absolutely delicious!! The salsa that they serve was also really yummy. For drinks we ordered their famous coconut cream margarita $18 each and I ordered just one of the regular margaritas. They were delicious!
I would recommend stopping here for lunch or dinner!!
The prelude to dining:
We sat at out table one of 3 tables sat with guests and our napkin dispenser had a single napkin in it which feels a little ridiculous for such a slow afternoon service. The server thankfully cleaned our table as we were seated which im grateful for. We got our drink orders in and were off to the races.
The good: the margaritas were great, our service was prompt and efficient. The flour tortillas, and the pickled onion on the brisket barbacoa were delicious.
The bad: everything outside of what I just outlined was honestly sub par. The salsa was watery more of a sauce than anything, the meats lacked any flavor and were more of a protein mush than brisket and birria, the birria tacos were cooked excellently but the meat and au jus just weren’t flavorful at all. The Spanish rice was crunchy and the beans despite all the visible ingredients lacked any substantial good flavor. The queso was brown and not kinda grainy like the rioux wasnt cooked off. Idk if the kitchens not following the Chefs recipe or if the recipes arent good. The creamy jalapeno dip was the only thing with any spice to it and it tasted like sour cream that sat next to a jalapeño for awhile.
The finale: after 4 tacos, 2 margaritas, queso, beans and rice costed $60 which wouldnt have been an issue if the food was good. Id give it a 67/100, its definitely calories and is edible but nowhere near the quality of food id expect in all honesty
Try another Mexican place and avoid this one, your chances of having better luck than me is high after dining here.
Tucked in a strip mall this kick ass joint serves really good grub for a hangry employee out for an hour.
Chips and salsa, standard fare, with an amazing house made salsa upping the chip and dip game.
I ordered the Burrito with Hot Chicken. Yum. Fresh, hot, quality ingredients with a twist on traditional burritos.
Great service but, alas, my tiny brain forgot her name…. lunch on a weekday…. I hope they know who she is, she was on her game.
Here’s the Breakdown:
Cool interior vibe +1 star; great salsa +1 star; excellent service +1 star; good burrito +1 star; margarita and beer options +1 star.
I would, 100%, go back.
We also ordered chips with queso and salsa, and they did not disappoint. The chips tasted freshly made, light and crispy. The queso was rich and creamy, topped with chopped tomatoes and herbs for a fresh kick, while the salsa had a smoky depth of flavor that felt house-made and thoughtfully crafted.
We sat at the bar, which could have used a little tidying, but the bartender was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is laid-back and casual—great for happy hour or a quick bite.
A heads up: the parking lot is small, so you may need to grab a spot on the street.
All in all, great drinks, tasty food, and chill vibes. We’ll be back!
The atmosphere here is really nice as well. We’ll definitely be back!
