I ordered the carnitas plate and it was burnt. Like when you forget you have something cooking on the stove and need a spatula to remove it from the pan burnt that should’ve been discarded but instead it was put on a plate and served to me. I showed my wife this and said this was unacceptable but it was my mom’s birthday and I can be a prick so I let it go. Plus, didn’t see our waitress for another 15min so just ate what was salvageable. It was brought to a managers attention by my uncle when we were ready to leave and the resolution that was offered was some more carnitas. I laughed. Naw I’m good. First and last time there, thank you and good day

I have loved Panchitos since I was a kid and go every time I come to San Antonio looking forward to the food. This time was a huge disappointment as the plate that had enchiladas and fajitas was just different and very small, not worth the price, and not good. The fajitas looked not very appealing overcooked on the outside and red in the middle and the enchiladas just tasted completely different. The homemade tortillas were also not the same as I remember the fluffy steaming hot and deliciousness which was not the case today. We did have the happy hour empanadas and those were very good. If it wasn’t for the empanadas and service this 3 star review would be a 1 star. Not sure if we will be back because I would rather remember how good it was than how it tasted today. Our server was absolutely sweet and amazing which is always the case.

Panchito’s is one of our favorite restaurants in San Antonio. My wife had a crispy beef taco and puffy taco with a side of charro beans, rice. I had the Sizzling Chicken, it was delicious!!! We also got a half order of sopapillas for dessert….OMG, they were so light and tasty!!! Next time we will be doing a full order. Victor H. was our server and he was excellent. He was on top of everything, getting refills, asking if we needed anything.

My wife and I split a and chicken and beef fajitas meal. Both were very flavorful and generously portioned. Our waiter was great and even advised me to wait a few more minutes before ordering my margarita so it would be at a happy hour price. I would have given the food a five star but felt my my beef fajitas were a little tough, tasted great but tough. The salsa was excellent and we both enjoyed our rice and beans. My margarita and wife’s strawberry daiquiri were very good. This place is reasonably priced and worth a visit. Will definitely be back and will even order the well flavored beef fajitas again to see if they’re more tender the next time.

Returning to Panchito’s for breakfast (08:30 AM). It was very busy this morning. All food and service was good, even given the busy time. Added some pictures of guest orders. Pork Chops, and Pancakes and Rice.

Back at Panchito’s for breakfast. Love their tortillas, and I got the usual, two migas tacos and a bean and egg taco to go. All tacos were delicious. Service was great, Mari, was our server, and staff all working together

Back at Panchito’s, this time to try their dinner dishes. There were 3 of us and we had Cynthia for our server. We arrived at 5:30 pm, or just before the dinner rush on a Friday evening. We were seated quickly greeted and our drink orders taken. I had a beer, Modelo, and he others had a mango margarita and Azul margarita. The margarita drinkers really liked their beverages.

When it came time to order we settle on the fajita dinner for two (2). There was some time that passed, and then our food arrived. The fajitas was beef, chicken and sausage. This was accompanied with rice, beans and some guacamole, lettuce, etc. sides to add.

All of the food was good, and I can say that we’ll be back to enjoy the happy hour and dinner again.

I hope you decide to visit and your experience is as good as mine.

Note, added some pictures and videos to the collection.

Back at Panchito’s for some breakfast. I noticed they were setting up for a party of 13 adults and one small child (high chair).

Me, I had the same old tacos (see picture and video) migas taco and a bean & egg taco. My family member ordered a migas taco with diced ham added. They really like this taco.

Enjoy !

Visited this family owned restaurant again for breakfast and added some additional pictures of the bean & egg, chorizo & egg, and pork chop tacos were has for breakfast. Food was great and prepared to our order, the staff and service is fantastic and the manager even stopped by the table to check on us and ask for feedback.

Give them a try. Note they can get busy because they do have a huge customer following.

We dined here this morning. They are family owned and have been in business for 40+ years.

This morning, we had tacos and also were celebrating a friend’s birthday – our server Marte brought out some sopapillas for a celebratory desert (pictured – some missing as we had already eaten a few).

Note, tacos were Migas, Bacon & Egg, Potatoe & Egg

I hope if you’re out looking for a place to dine, you give Panchitoe’s a chance. I hope your experience will be as good as mine.

Okay, it’s probably one of my top 5 best Mexican restaurants I have ever been. the place has great vibes, and you can feel it as soon as you set your feet in there. Margaritas looked good, and they tasted so great! The food portion was generous but yet great quality. We picked this restaurant on google Maps for its good reviews during our visit to San Antonio, and we were not disappointed!! We had such a great time, and we would definitely go back next time we’re in town!

I had the cheese enchiladas and a margherita. The drink was good but the enchiladas weren’t for me. The flavor profile of the enchiladas was closer to crunchy taco meat than my preference which is more guisada style enchilada. Which is fine but I likely won’t be back.

UPDATE….
They still know how to make you happy at HH. Try the empanadas.

I’ve been going here since they were on Hildebrand. So glad they expanded so we can always get in LOL. Sometimes you may have to wait on peak hours- but wait. It’ll be worth it. And the happy hour here is major crazy. Great prices on Margaritas and appetizers. And the appetizers are not special price sized either. They are great to share. Order them all. LOL. Especially love the empanadas YUMMMMMMM
