Tried the Birria quesadilla. Pretty good, comes with 4 pieces. Sort of smells like taco bell. Consomme had layer of oil on top. Think it’s better if you pour that off.
I placed an online order for a birria bowl close to closing time. While waiting, I watched a tall male employee behind the counter load his own bowl with an outrageous amount of birria — easily 6–7 portions, far more than any guest would ever receive. Immediately after that, my brother stepped up to order his meal with birria as well. Suddenly, we were told they were “out.”
When I questioned this, the same employee spoke to me in a rude and condescending tone, insisting there was none left — despite the fact that my online order for birria had not even been made yet. It was very clear what happened: instead of serving a paying customer, this employee chose to take the remaining birria for himself and tried to hide it by claiming it was gone.
This wasn’t a mistake or a timing issue — it was intentional, selfish, and incredibly unprofessional. Watching an employee prioritize their own meal over guests, then lie about availability and talk down to customers, is outrageous. Closing time is not an excuse for poor conduct, dishonesty, or disrespect.
Management seriously needs to address this behavior. It reflects terribly on the restaurant, and it’s the kind of experience that ensures customers do not return.
