They constantly cook their steak between rare and medium-rare at best. A true rare steak (≈120–130°F) and many medium-rare steaks (≈130–140°F) never reach 145°F, even briefly. This is explicitly against food safety standards under the conditions which they store and serve the steak. They also do not disclose the below standard temps of their beef. I’ve brought it up several times and they always say “this is how we do it”. It probably should be reported, but short of that I would not order the steak here.

Honestly food is good, not really sure how the consistency of portion really goes because there have been times where my burrito is huge and then there are times where they make them kind of small but I have to say the food tastes good and at least the food gets me full.

Tasty, and their chips with queso are phenomenal along with anything with a tortilla. I come here almost specifically for their tortilla dishes!

So it’s.. not that great. And for $30 we got 2 drinks, a half filled bag of chips (the cheapest easiest thing to give lots of), a 3 oz queso, one small salad and one small bowl. If you’re from Texas or somewhere that has lots of burrito places unfortunately this is not like a place like that. It’s not Freebirds. The quality is really low. The best part about our meal was I had Coke zero and also mellow yello was available as a rare option. The workers are pretty clueless. The have have salsa verde on their menu board. the guy didn’t know what it was. Really disappointing.

Asked for beans and no rice in online order and they did the opposite. I hate rice but am not driving 40 minutes round trip to fix. also guac has no flavor – no garlic, no onion, no lime, no spice…just mashed avocado . Everything else in the bowl was delicious though

Best food and customer services I’ve ever received at a pancheros. Jose has made every experience I’ve had at pancheros the best. He is one of the most personable men I’ve met, he has created such a happy environment. I drive almost 30 minutes just to come to this location. He has the best crew members as well. By far the best “fast” food I’ve ever had.

My family and I had pancheros for the first time last night and were pleasantly surprised by the size and quality of the food! The burritos are very large and super tasty! They took a little longer than the time I put in for pick up at, but not much, (and I was picking up right at the diner rush)!
The store was clean, the employees were busy but still courteous, and the location is very convenient!
I think a lot of the negative and 1-star reviews probably came from the opening couple weeks when the dollar burritos were being offered… I would assume that it was crazy busy and the quality wasn’t as good during peak lunch and dinner hours because there were so many people and online orders. hopefully some of the people who left one-star reviews will come back and try again, as I’m sure they will find that is nothing like their original experience!
The only thing I would like to see improved is a way to customize a bit more in the app (extra/reg/lite on toppings) but I understand that’s something Pancheros corporate will need to do. Just a thought for those really wanting to customize – order in person, not in the app!

We had a great experience at Pancheros in Apple Valley! The burrito was made perfectly—fresh ingredients, great flavor, and wrapped just right. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, and the store was very clean and well-kept. Plus, the service was quick, which is always a bonus. Definitely coming back!
