This is a wonderful Mom & Pop diner with comfort food, delicious breakfasts and some Mexican American food options.
It’s in an older, slightly outdated building. Don’t let that stop you! It’s older, but clean, friendly staff, ample seating, and lots of options for tasty dishes. Pricing is reasonable. Great coffee.
Had the steak omelet this past weekend with American cheese, cooked onions and peppers. Served with their own house-made hashbrowns that are extremely tasty.
This will be our go-to diner for breakfasts, BLTs, sandwiches and more. While it may take a little longer to get your food, keep in mind it’s all cooked to order. Everything from scratch, not fast food. Put the cell phone down and enjoy conversation with your family or friends.

Were in town for a soccer tournament and a lot of restaurants weren’t open until 11am. So we decided to have breakfast here based on the reviews. We didn’t realized that they serve American/Mexican food. We had a party of 10 arriving around 10:30am. The place was not busy and We were seated right away. Service was so slow! A few of our people had to wait for them to brew some sweet tea. Then it took awhile before our order was taken. We waited some more and finally received some of our food. Our crepes had no flavor and the toppings were all wrong. After being there for 1.5 hours and waiting to get the rest of food, it never came. Only 1 person received what they’d ordered, which was an omelette. Everyone else only received half of their order. Our waitress, the one with glasses hardly came by to see if we needed anything. We had to asked another waitress where the rest of our food was. She was very nice and tried to make things right for us. She came back and told us that the kitchen lost our ticket. The owner was helping out in the kitchen too and she was clueless of what happened to all our orders. We refused to wait any longer and decided to leave. If they lost our ticket, how are they going to charge us? The owner just told us the bill is $20. We paid and left. It was the worst experience of dining that I’ve ever had! We also noticed other customers complained about their orders. A couple had their plates returned to the kitchen. That’s how horrible the service was. I do not recommend this place.

I stopped in this little place where I had never been before just trying to find a good place that was different from my usual menu. When I walked in there were only 2 tables seated so they were not busy at all. I was a little confused because I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to seat myself or wait on a hostess to seat me. I waited for a few minutes before I was seated, I was brought a menu pretty quickly and my drink order was taken. When my drink arrived in ample time, I placed my food order. The food was prompt on coming out and was pretty good to be a small place in the middle of Asheboro. While I was eating my meal, the hostess thought it would be appropriate to reach over and restock the condiments on the table when she clearly could have waited to do that until I was gone. I finished my drink and sat with an empty glass for a good bit before being asked if I needed anything, as slow as they were, I should not have had to wait that long for a refill. The atmosphere was ok, the ceiling in the actual restaurant looks like it is about to fall in, the toilet ran continuously so it was difficult to flush, under the sink in the bathroom was a bucket with what looked to be water and a rag in it, not sure what that was for. The hostess and one of the ladies on the wait staff were dressed pretty uniformally, one of the wait staff thought it appropriate to show off her assets by wearing the ever so famous tiktok leggings, she didn’t match the other staff members which was not attractive at all. My first time going today, the parking lot was pretty full but there was still plenty of seating. As soon as we walked in you can smell pancakes and waffles, which was a good sign. We were seated immediately to a clean table and got our drinks shorty after. The menu has a lot of different options to choose from. I chose breakfast and my fiancé ordered lunch. I got the chorizo/jalapeño/onion omelette which came with a choice of 2 sides AND a choice of pancakes or toast… for $8.99, pretty good deal to me because I took home plenty of leftovers. The omelette was a little over done for my liking but it still had great flavor and I enjoyed it. The pancakes were good, they had some powdered sugar on top which I could have done without, but still tasted good. The food was hot and came out within 10 minutes. My fiancé got the Caesar wrap with fries. I tasted it and it was good, the chicken was a little dry but was still good — the wraps come with a complimentary cup of soup — she chose chicken noodle soup. The broth was amazing and had good flavor; again the chicken was a little dry. Our waitress was attentive and sweet. Also the owner (or manager) came around to every single table in the restaurant and offered coffee refills and checked on customers.

The crispy potatoes were so good! We really enjoyed the food and the prices being reasonable. We got breakfast here before heading to the zoo. We had no problems with service. Would love to try more if we’re back in the area!

Daughter is a sergeant in the military. She was in regular clothes. Decided to grab a bite to eat with my son. They were treated disrespectful. Food came out cold. She spoke with manager. Nothing happened until I called. He repeatedly apologized for the ill treatment

Great food and good service. The menu offers a big selection for everyone’s taste. The pricing very affordable. Our waitress made sure we were taken care of and was very attentive. The crab stuffed avocado was great and positions were big!
