The food was okay. Nothing tasted like it came out of a can or the microwave, but it also didn’t taste like much of anything at all. There’s salt at the table, though, so not a huge deal. Service was fast and friendly, but not quite 5 stars. When I told my server there was a roach on my table, and showed her the proof, she pretty much hand waved it. Apparently this is just how thing are. Obviously 1 star for the atmosphere; a restaurant with roaches? I do not recommend.

It’s a quaint restaurant with fantastic service and food. The servers are just right- friendly and caring, but not overbearing with checking on patrons. The pancakes themselves have out of this world flavor! I also had the Western omelette with cheese and the chunks of ham were monstrous! I would love to have this place in the Raleigh/Cary area rather than Waffle House or IHOP. This place makes pancakes AND waffles, and I was so happy!

Very dirty dingy place, food wasn’t good at all, eggs overcooked on one side and undercooked on the other, sausage over cooked and dry, pancakes were mushy, hash browns tasted like they were just dipped in deep fryer for a few minutes and barley even cooked. Chocolate milk tasted like just regular milk but slightly brown and we had to fight off flys the whole dinner. Definitely disappointed.

I’d rather eat here than Cracker Barrel. The atmosphere is probably more locals than travelers. I’d say the travelers leave the bad reviews. The sausage was amazing. I wish they had homemade biscuits instead of prepackaged biscuits, but you can’t be perfect. My eggs were cooked just how i requested. I’d rather eat here than Cracker Barrel. Ambiance? Who needs it? This place has “old school” charm. Like a “Howard Johnson’s” from the ’60s. Cups with saucers! A full thermos pot of coffee! Ice cream scoop size of soft, delicious butter for our pancakes; not cold, refrigerated little pats like most places. The food is great, the service spectacular. Our server, Barbie, was friendly and efficient. The bb hole in the window was the only thing that was a little distracting. Prices are very good. Three peach pancakes $6. Eggs, corned beef hash, home fries and toast only $5,75! Loved this place!

Friendly and welcoming staff as soon you walk in.
The food comes out fast and tasty.
The best part is that they bring you the pot of coffee ☕️ so you can have more as soon as yo want more.

Upon walking in around 9am, the waitress apologized for how cold it was inside but explained that, as the sun comes in the windows across the front, it gets so hot, ‘so we just stuck it up a little’. Honestly, we believe the heating system was out. There was a massive tarp stretched across the back wall, and we thought maybe there was some construction going on in the rear dining area, but then we smelled cigarette smoke. So I asked the waitress if someone was smoking, and she looked around and said she didn’t see anyone. Thinking it might be one of the construction crew, I asked her if there was construction going on behind the tarp – “No”. WHAT WAS GOING ON BEHIND THAT TARP?!?! The cold interior and the tarp distracted me enough that I didn’t even notice until we were leaving that the ceiling tiles were black with “organic growth” right above our heads. Sadly, I hit the bathroom on the way out, and it was just a wreck in there: water dripping from the toilet plumbing, an ill-fitting counter top at the sink with exposed plywood that was disgusting, a small entry to the bathroom with no lighting, and water all over the floor. We were approached in the parking lot by a guy asking for money.

The waitress was kind, but we’ll never be back. I don’t know who the county health inspector is, but they need to be fired. I can’t believe this place is open for business.

I have always enjoy my breakfast here. Nice friendly staff. Haven’t really changed much in like all the the over 10yrs I’ve been going. I usually get the pancake sandwich . it consist of two pancakes, egg and a choice of meat as seen in my photos below I added the grits and . If you need hot syrup, just ask him for it and they will give you some nice warm syrup. My bacon was a little hard this time. I asked her to switch it out to another piece of sausage and she did it with no problem. Give them a try for old school feel

Do not eat here! For starters, there was a used empty jelly container in the communal condiment bowl. Secondly, we waited at least an hour and NEVER got our food. We watched numerous people get their food before us that came in way after us. The only “cook” there made sure to get her own children (who were seated behind us) their food in a timely manner. She also loudly corrected her kids in front of everyone. Lastly, we left because there was no word on our food and the same “cook” was outside smoking a cigarette with her baby daddy. I get being short staffed, but don’t use that as an excuse to the patrons then be smoking with your baby daddy outside… worst dining experience ever. And the inside and outside of the restaurant was disgusting. I don’t know how this place is even still in business
