Insanely delicious Mexican sugar cookies! A friend got several from here for my housewarming and they were the favorite for the whole group. I had the leftovers and even 4 days later, were delicious. Will drive up to Boulder just for these.

I absolutely love this place and trying new pastries each time. I always grab a raspberry coconut ball. These are very authentic Mexican pastries and aren’t over the top sweet which is perfect. They have tons of options ranging between pastries, cookies, and cake. The other amazing thing is you can get a ton for extremely cheap.

I was planning on making a tres leches cake for my son’s birthday party but got locked out of my apartment morning of, so I started driving around frantically trying to find one I could buy. You typically have to order cakes in advance and was told so by one other bakery by the time I got to Panaderia Sabor a Mexico, but they were kindly willing to sell me one of the cakes they had planned to sell in individual slices that day, saving the day for me. The customer service was incredible, and it was the BEST tres leches I’d ever had.

I hadn’t been in awhile until a week or two ago. Right away I saw a lovely rack of assorted rolls. The ones that caught my eye first are about 8″ long,
with melted cheese escaping. Show me melted cheese and I’m happy. I don’t remember yeast breads available at this particular bakery and have always thought of it as cookies and pastries.
They almost always have one of my favorites- a little pie filled with Bavarian Cream… It has a bread based crust now and I don’t know if it always has. Other tasty Bavarian Cream delights are available but they never have enough of the filling for me. I’m sure it’s enough for most of you. No one ever gets tired of me asking about what each item is, something I wind up doing at times. All the cookie and pastry basics are available but I can’t speak to the rotation schedule.
My huge disappointment was that there’s no cover for the butterscotch flan. I should’ve put it in my car right away; instead I shopped the surprisingly well stocked little Asian grocery first. You can imagine what happened. At least some flan was left, it was delicious and I’d happened to choose a shopping bag that didn’t leak through all over me and the Asian grocery.

Wow! The Mexican bread (Pan Dulce) here is amazing! It reminds me of the panaderias that I would go to in Mexico. They also have the cutest little conchas. One of which I bought for my dog to enjoy.
The lady who attended me was also really nice.
Highly Recommend!

This Panadería is comparable to the shops I used to go to with my grandparents, back home. I was born and grew up near the Mexican border, so there are extremely authentic bakeries down in that area. The moilletes or conchas are especially delicious, as well as the pumpkin empanadas. This bakery bakes all day, so when you’re able to get something that is still warm, it is heavenly. They even have some pan de polvo, which is usually hard to find. I am quite particular when it comes to pan de polvo, and although no one will ever be able to make it as good as my grammy’s, I was pleasantly surprised:)!
