Been coming here for years – food tastes just like you’re at your grandmas house. And every meal comes with fresh handmade tortillas. So delicious! I recommend this place to anyone looking for Guatemalan food.

This place was recommended but a guy from Big O tires, while I was getting my oil changed. I must say that this place had some really good food…I have the chorizo and eggs with a side of plantains and beans…the tortillas are fresh and hime made…so if you’re looking for a good meal stop on in and grab a plate…

Dry chuchitos. And the arroz con leche was mostly water.

This place is disgusting. I saw mice under the bread display. When I first walked in there was nobody in sight that worked there. I waited about 10 minutes to finally be served and put my order in. Tables were very dirty and floor look like it hasn’t been swept at all throughout the day. I only gave them one star I wish I could give them -5 stars

Went in to get bread and it was in plastic bags. When I got it home it was hard as a rock and burned the tostadas and the sweet bread was rancid was also in a bag in that hot store. Bread is made with eggs so with that heat I can see why the bread was bitter and rancid. I am so disappointed,

Very local Guatemalan strip mall restaurant. The only thing I can recommend is the pork and chicken tomales. They were wrapped in banana leaves as opposed to corn husks in the Mexican tradition. Very flavorful and moist. I will be back.

The staff here is welcoming and polite!

The food here taste just as good as the food back home in Guatemala. The food here has a rich and diverse culinary tradition that reflects its indigenous Mayan, European, and African influences.

Great, here’s a review for Panaderia & Restaurante Guatemalteca:

I recently visited Panaderia & Restaurante Guatemalteca and had an amazing experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was very warm and inviting.

The food was absolutely delicious – I particularly enjoyed the Pepian stew, which was rich and flavorful, and the Chiles Rellenos were stuffed to perfection. The restaurant also has a great selection of traditional Guatemalan baked goods and pastries, which were all fresh and delicious.

Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Panaderia & Restaurante Guatemalteca. The only suggestion I have for improvement is to possibly expand the seating area to accommodate more guests, as the restaurant can get quite busy during peak hours. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic and delicious Guatemalan cuisine.

Pepian: A traditional meat stew made with chicken or beef, vegetables, and a thick sauce made from ground pumpkin seeds.
Chiles Rellenos: Bell peppers stuffed with ground meat, rice, and vegetables, and then fried and served with tomato sauce.
Tamales: Steamed corn dough wrapped in banana leaves and filled with meat, vegetables, or cheese.
Guacamole: A popular dip made from mashed avocado, onion, tomato, and lime juice.
Rellenitos: Fried plantains stuffed with sweetened black beans and cinnamon.
Kak’ik: A spicy turkey soup with tomato, tomatillo, and chili pepper.
Fiambre: A cold salad made with various meats, vegetables, and cheeses.
Pollo en Jocon: Chicken cooked in a green sauce made from green peppers, tomatillos, and cilantro.
Atol de Elote: A sweet and creamy corn pudding flavored with cinnamon and vanilla.
Chuchitos: Similar to tamales, but smaller and usually filled with chicken or pork.

We ordered food for a family wake in memory of our mother and grandma. The food was a reminder of great Guatemalan food and the amount they provided was generous. I would recommend their food to friends and family

Tamales were okay. Bread seemed old. I came around 8pm so I might of ran out of luck but I definitely didn’t get fresh bread. Didn’t try anything else.
