Jennifer and Chase took excellent care of us on this, our first visit.
I had the breakfast buffet and Mom had all you can eat chicken. Both were wonderful
We saw the postings on Facebook and decided to give it a try

Love the breakfast. Hot chocolate was awesome and had a fantastic taste, cranapple drink was great, not to sweet, not bitter, and the hot coffee was smooth and just right. Our waitress Becky and staff did a Phenomenal job!

Best place for breakfast in GI. Thick sliced bacon cooked to perfection, delicious thick large sausage patties, delicious pancakes and large portion size best hashbrowns ever. Becky is a great server as well as rest of staff very attentive and friendly. This report was a past one. Now today 2/24/26 our server was Megan. She was very attentive and came frequently to see if we needed anything.

We stop by here every time we visit family in Grand Island. It is hearty middle-America homestyle food.

Service was extremely attentive. Fun older ladies who obviously know their regulars and are supreme multitakers. They were taking orders from the drive through, filling coffees and waters and serving food like a boss.

The pancakes are excellent, as was the biscuits and gravy.

We always stop here for at least one meal one every trip to GI. Doesn’t matter what meal, it’s all good.

Once again, I had a great experience for lunch. AYCE fried chicken (I never need more than the first plate), mashed potatoes, and corn. Then a salad bar on top of that. The salad bar has lots of fresh veggies, 5 or 6 fresh salads, and some whipped treats. My favorite fried chicken – falls off the bone.
Great, super friendly service!

Amazing fried chicken and great service. Priced just right.

This place is one of those best kept secrets only the locals know about. Food is solid, beer is cold, and the atmosphere is perfect hole in the wall old cafe you remember from when you were a kid.

They reopened a few months ago. Today was the first time I had their Sunday breakfast buffet since they reopened. It has a limited selection, pancakes, French toast sticks, scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, sausage links and patties, and biscuits and gravy. Everything was great. Pancakes can get rubbery and biscuits become hard on a buffet, but not these. They were light and fluffy. The gravy had enough pepper. The sausage also had the right amount of pepper. I have had, at other places, the gravy and/or sausage be bland or way too spicy. It is nice when they get it right. They were busy and the staff was bringing out hot and fresh food every few minutes to make sure nothing ran out. Overall, it was a simple, down home breakfast that is great for after church or for those heading out to the horse races.

My 1st time having breakfast here. It was recommended to me by a local from one of the area bars as having a good breakfast. So I go and check it out the next morning. Not very busy when I get there. I let the wait staff know it’s my first time here. They say pick a table and ask me what I want to drink. Coffee. When I sit down, I notice they are bringing me a large cup rather than the smaller ones already on the table. Groovy!Good and hot. Décor was pretty cool and I give them my order. Doesn’t take too long. Not many people there this late in the morning. (I had a late start due to the.. afore mentioned “Bar”) ahem… So… through my eggs were not over easy… but medium, the hamburger steak was dry and the hash browns were thick/clumpy… It all tasted.. great! I was enjoying the meal. It filled me up and the wait staff kept the coffee flowing. The service was good and they took care of their customers. It was a solid morning breakfast. I’ll check them out again next time I’m in town.

Authentic local restaurant in Grand Island Nebraska. I have a good friend from the Northern Plains who told me about the food and it sounded great! The Diners depicted in A Prairie Home Companion always sounded so unique…Pam’s Pub and Grub fit the description to a T. I had “Hot sandwiches” and a “made rite”…Ate there 4 times over the course of the week. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly! If you left there dissatisfied….it was your own fault.
