Pamplemousse On The Bay is a decent option if your main goal is to enjoy sunset views with a cocktail or a glass of wine. The setting by the water is definitely the highlight, and it can be quite pleasant during golden hour.

That said, the food is a major letdown. The menu options are weak and don’t really justify staying for a full meal. This is not a place I’d recommend if food quality is a priority.

If you come in knowing that you’re there mainly for the views and drinks, you’ll likely be fine. Otherwise, there are much better dining options elsewhere. Be cautious and set expectations accordingly.

Pamplemousse on The Bay

When we visited for the first time, we had an amazing “Sunset Hour.” We went for drinks and appetizers and of course, the Sunset and spectacular views of Miami.

Our second time around was disappointing, not because of the views or our waitress, Rekkas, but of the confusion around the food. Before we visit a restaurant, we like to see the menu online to have an idea of what we would like to eat. When we got to the restaurant, we were informed that it was under new management and that they had a new menu. No problem, we inquired about the day’s special and the waitress sent one of the owners. He went over the menu and we decided on the Pan Seated Scallops, Special of the day. It was only three scallops on a butter sauce. When we asked, they told us that they got confused and that the plate was an appetizer. We also had “The Lemon Spaghetti with Caviar”. This plate is listed as $19.00 on the menu and if you add Caviar it says $29.00. They charged was $48.00 for the spaghetti. I called the restaurant and spoke to one of the owners/managers and he was kind enough to refund some of the charges because of the confusion. Despite what happened, we had a great time and we are recommending Pamplemouse on the Bay.

Pamplemousse on the Bay offers a beautiful venue for any occasion, with stunning sunset views and a lovely outdoor patio overlooking the Miami skyline. The food is excellent, the atmosphere cozy and inviting, and the service truly exceptional. Highly recommended!

An unforgettable evening at Pamplemousse on the Bay. Amazing food, great drinks, and a beautiful, relaxed atmosphere. Sitting by the bay on the uncredible terrace and watching the sunset was simply magical. One of those places that stays with you I’d come back without thinking twice.

I came here for brunch and honestly, it did not impress me. The brunch menu was very boring and very limited. Out of the four dishes we tried, nothing really stood out. There was nothing special that would make me want to come back.
The only good thing about this place is the view — it’s absolutely beautiful. Maybe lunch or dinner is better, but for brunch, I would not return.

We had high hopes for this place. We booked in advance and were failed to be told there was a set menu for Valentine’s Day.
Nothing like their regular menu that seemed enticing.
We were very disappointed with the service and the food. Our waitress did not ask for refills until the end of our stay and told us they were out of tea. (We were the first few people here) Steak tataki was not tataki style what so ever.
Our ribeye was returned as it was Blue, doused in butter & not medium rare, potatoes lacking flavor. The Dover sole and lamb were both lacking flavor. Dessert was nothing special and just looked like a messy display of mush. Overall very disappointing. Very poor set menu.

This place is an absolute hidden gem in South Beach, and the location alone makes it special. It’s one of the only restaurants that’s truly directly on the water. We were sitting about two feet from the edge, watching the sun set over the water while we ate. The vibe is romantic and perfectly done. It feels sexy, salty, and upscale, but still relaxed and comfortable, not stiff or pretentious.
We went for Valentine’s Day and the Valentine’s menu was excellent. Everything felt thoughtfully put together and paced really well, and it actually lived up to the occasion instead of feeling like a rushed “special menu” situation.
The meat was a standout. It was so tender it literally fell apart in your mouth. Perfectly cooked, rich, and just really satisfying in that way where you can tell the kitchen knows what they’re doing.
Also, the prices are very reasonable for what you’re getting, especially for a waterfront spot in South Beach with this kind of atmosphere.
Overall, it’s an amazing date-night restaurant and the kind of place you almost don’t want to tell people about because it still feels like a secret. If you want a romantic night with a killer view, great food, and a vibe that feels special without draining your wallet, THIS is the place.

I recently came by for a corporate event dinner and had an amazing time. The service was phenomenal, the food was out of this world, and the cocktails were simply outstanding. The owner Francois was extremely nice and friendly, as well as Caesar and Alejandro the bartenders. The views from the back are also to die for during the sunset! Highly recommend any of the cocktails, the truffle wagyu carpaccio, yellowtail, the steak, and fries. Everyone at the event loved their food and experience as well. Will definitely be back to explore the menu some more and enjoy the sunset once again!

I came in expecting more of the same: pricey, bland food like many other trendy spots in Miami. But honestly, everything was surprisingly good. The flavors weren’t mind-blowing, but the dishes were tasty and well prepared. The service was excellent. I wish I remembered the name of the girl who helped us; she was from Morocco and truly made us feel welcome. The view is beautiful and peaceful, perfect for catching the sunset. Great ambiance overall.

The greetings were fantastic the French Martini mocktail was to die for. Steak fries were. A little cold and undercooked but we enjoyed them mostly. Our burrata was missing the peach but the grapefruit made up for it. Loved the happy staff, waited over 20 mins for our check after our plates were cleared. They have hookah but we did not participate this trip. Next time…!
