This is a really wonderful place. I had the za’atar lamajoun / manaeesh (or, in English Perhaps the best way to describe it is “flat bread”). They are served with Armenian pickles and sometimes lemon. Some have cheese and herbs, some have meat. And the Armenian coffee is delightful.
They also have backgammon!

za’atar lamajoun and cheese bread was good. The cappuccino is perfect and doesn’t even need sugar in my opinion. Jack is very friendly and makes great food! Best to the owner. It’s a bonus because my subdivisions behind the cafe. There is backgammon to play at the cafe as well. If you bring your own pieces, there are chess boards.

Been here a few times now and I love it. It’s just a stone’s throw from downtown Berkeley, but with plenty of parking. I will say that I am a coffee SNOB. I’ve had both the cappuccino and latte, they were excellent. I also tried a za’atar (sp?) flatbread and really enjoyed it. This would be a great place to go with a group of friends, there’s plenty of space and seating. Check them out!!
