I go to this place regularly and I’m a loyal customer. I absolutely love their food—it’s so tasty every time. The owner is an older gentleman, and he is one of the kindest and friendliest restaurant owners I’ve ever met. He always offers me something for free to try, which really shows how generous he is. The prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get. Amazing food, great value, and wonderful service. Highly recommend!

The food is absolutely amazing and the women, man and girl who work there were so nice. All of their food is homemade. I think if everyone tasted their food they would put the rest of the restaurants in the mall out of business. I will be back weekly.
I ordered a whole chicken that was stuffed with rice. 10/10, a side of rice with lentils and a cucumber and tomato salad. All of it 10/10. Healthy and delicious!!!

I love Mediterranean food and have tried a TON of them and Palmyra is always in my top three choices. The gmfood is so good, and sometimes they have interesting desserts and things in the case on the left so be sure to check those out! I love that they give you ketchup and garlic sauce for dipping your fries, so I always get a side of fries with my shawarma plate. The Arabic shawarma wrap is also top-notch. I think this is an Egyptian place (sorry if I’m wrong on that lol) and I love the little differences in Mediterranean food places, and Palmyra has a unique flavor profile. I prefer the yellow rice but my husband goes nuts for the lentil and rice mix. Highly recommended! It’s in a mall food court, but this is NOT mall quality food, it’s standalone restaurant quality for sure, but I love that they get the foot traffic!

If you are a tourist or live here in Pittsburgh, I recommend you try this food place that is inside the mall. It is Mediterranean food. The food is delicious and the price is reasonable for the large portion of food. The staff is so friendly and always has a smile. It is one of my favorite places every time I come to the South Hills Mall.

5 Stars – An Exceptional Culinary Gem in an Unexpected Place!

Palmyra Authentic Mediterranean Cuisine is hands down one of the best discoveries I’ve made in a long time, and believe it or not, it’s tucked away in the South Hills Village Mall Food Court! This hidden gem is delivering fresh, authentic, and absolutely delicious Mediterranean food that rivals (or even surpasses) many standalone restaurants.

From the moment we approached the counter, we were warmly welcomed by the incredibly kind and passionate owners. As we spoke with them, it quickly became clear why the food here tastes so fresh and vibrant, every single dish is prepared on-site using only fresh ingredients. They proudly shared their freezer is empty, which says everything you need to know about their commitment to quality. No shortcuts, no processed or frozen items, just real, homemade, family style cooking made with care.

Palmyra is not a chain, but a local, family owned and operated restaurant, and that love and authenticity is evident in every bite. We had various dishes including the Lamb and Beef Combo Platter, Lamb & Beef Shawarma Wrap, Falafel Platter, Hummus, Pita Bread and a variety of homemade sauces, and every single item and bite was bursting with flavor. The portions were incredibly generous, and we ended up taking home enough food for another meal or two, making it not just delicious, but also a great value.

One of the highlights was their homemade baklava. Rich, flaky, perfectly sweetened, and made with a touch of love, it was honestly some of the best we’ve ever had.

What’s even more exciting is that Palmyra won’t be staying in the food court much longer. The owners shared their plans to relocate to a standalone location in the Bethel Park, which is absolutely the right move. This level of quality and care deserves its own space, and I have no doubt the new location will thrive once word gets out.

In a world full of fast food and cookie cutter chains, Palmyra is a refreshing reminder of what truly great food is all about, authenticity, family, freshness, and heart. Do yourself a favor and give this amazing local business a try. Whether you’re a fan of Mediterranean cuisine or simply love discovering high quality food made with integrity, Palmyra is a must-visit.

Favorite Mediterranean food in the area! Always delicious, fresh, good quality. Love how they always have new things to try in addition to favorites. It’s also really nice that they’re in the mall if your friends are in the mood for something different and you need your Palmyra fix! Of course, your friends end up tasting your Palmyra and you have to share until they get their own next time. But, it’s ok, because portions are generous…

Exceptional food and even better hospitality!
Palmyra Mediterranean Cuisine is hands down one of the best places I’ve visited. The food is fresh, flavorful, and truly authentic — from the juicy kebabs to the velvety hummus and perfectly seasoned rice. What really made the experience special was Rawah, the wonderful manager. She welcomed us so warmly and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. Her kindness and attention to detail truly reflect the heart of the restaurant. If you’re looking for amazing Mediterranean food and genuine hospitality, this is the place to be!

I was so happy to discover Palmyra last night ! The baba ganoush was the best I’ve tasted in over fifteen years. Smoky and rich, I could have skipped the pita and just eaten by the spoonful! The falafel wrap was also excellent – the falafel itself was cooked so well, so slightly crispy outside and still soft and fluffy inside. And the staff were delightful – the service was really friendly and prompt, and I felt they were intent on making folks happy they were there! And the portions and prices were great also.
