This place is one of the most authentic places you can go to in Wonder Valley. From The amazing local artists and the different features every night. Live music. Karaoke. Great place to take the family. Great place to go hang out with your girls on a girl’s night. Just a really cool scene with an environment different from anything you’ve ever seen. All hippies welcome this is definitely going to be your favorite spot in the area.

This bar is not what you’d expect while traveling through Wonder valley. The bartender Kevin is very attentive to everyone’s needs. Karaoke night is so much fun with some truly talented vocals from the locals. It’s worth the time to stop in and check it out for yourself. You won’t be disappointed.

Do you want to dine in the middle of nowhere, out in the middle of the desert. Well here’s a place for you. The Palms Restaurant in Twentynine Palms, California is located on the outskirts of the town on Amboy.Road
We were out taking photos of the “End Of The World” and we knew that the Palms Restaurant was going to open soon. We had dine there once before for breakfast and had a fantastic experience. So this time we wanted to see what they offered.
When you first walked in you will first see a bar area and you will get to say Hi to some of the friendly locals. The front area is spacious and there are a few booths and table to dine. The main dining room is also very spacious and offers more seating for dining. They also do offer an outdoor dining area that has a large stafe for bands. The main dining room also has a stage. The decor was quirky, eclectic, and fun. As we were dining we both felt like we were in the 1996 movie ” Dusk Till Dawn” by Quentin Tarantino. The restaurant gave that vibe lol.
The menu wasn’t very extensive and the pricing was not expensive at all. In fact, it’s probably the cheapest meal we had this entire road trip. We ordered a few items. They were all delicious.
The service is great. Nothing really to complain about when you get friendly service especially with a little conversation and a smile.
Overall both experience were great. Love the mood, atmosphere, and vibe of the Palms Restaurant.
What we ordered
1.Cajon Chicken Sandwich
2. Vegan Buffalo “Chicken” Sandwich
3. Rosie’s Fries: Layers of Fries, grilled veggies, and cheese
4. Onion Rings

Middle of almost nowhere. Cool little weird bar. Fun place. Fun shows. And now next door is a cool art piece to see.

Very low prices! Definitely a dive bar /restaurant. The people are what make this place pleasant they are friendly and very much hippies and or open minded folk. Friday nights they have open mic nights — expect anything. Vegan friendly.

Driving into the space, the lights outside seem inviting and surrounding areas outside were peaceful which is the only reason for 3 stars. This was my first time visiting, and unfortunately, it wasn’t a good experience. I went on a Saturday evening at 7 PM for the Things That Go Bump in the Night comedy show. From the moment I walked in, I felt completely out of place—everyone seemed to know each other, hugging, chatting, and buying drinks, while I stood there unsure of where to go. No one greeted me or offered any help, which made things even more uncomfortable. I eventually found my way to the comedy area, but the atmosphere just didn’t feel welcoming. I ended up leaving about 10 minutes later. Regrettably, I did not enjoy my experience and do not plan to return.

Why do I love The Palms Restaurant? Everything about it is aesthetically perfect, from the decor and the location, to the food and the drinks. This is my happy place.
The Palms is in Wondervalley and is surrounded by stunning views of the desert landscape. The setting sun behind the red hills makes for a very romantic setting. The food is home cooked and very affordable. The drinks are stiff and cheap. Fridays is open mic night where the most interesting group of locals gather to listen to music and poetry. There is an outside area where events are held on weekends in the fall.

You won’t find better prices for food or drinks literally anywhere. Great service, some odd characters in there here and there but it adds to the uniqueness. Open mike nights and live bands regularly. Off-road friendly as you can come and go without touching asphalt if you know your way around. Only complaint I have is they’re only open 3 days a week. In my opinion a place this good should be open more. Sunday mornings they have brunch which is great
