If you’re anywhere near the French Quarter and not eating at Palm&Pine, you should be.

From the second I walked in, our server, Doc, was so fabulous and she made the dining experience so wonderful and memorable…the best ever!

I had the Cajun fried chicken biscuit, seafood gumbo, bacon fat potatoes and an Aperol Spritz.
Every bite and every sip was out of this world amazing!
If I could give more than 5 stars, I definitely would.

Doc was the best server I’ve had in a long time—attentive without hovering, knowledgeable without sounding rehearsed, and genuinely enthusiastic about the menu, and she made sure that we had a wonderful time. Thank you, Doc!

Palm & Pine doesn’t just serve food—it delivers a full experience.
If you go, get the Cajun fried chicken biscuit.
And if you’re lucky enough to get the same server we did, sit back and enjoy being taken care of.

Five stars isn’t enough.

On our recent trip to NOLA, my friend and I discovered the unique dining experience at Palm&Pine through AirBnb. This cozy, casual, unassuming spot on Rampart delivered one of the best meals we’ve ever eaten. Each dish was delivered by the chef, Amarys, with a description of it’s origin, components and development. Amarys, couldn’t have been more accommodating and personable. I won’t write four paragraphs with every minute detail, but here are the highlights. We started with the outstanding Corner Store Crudo and Blue Crab Cake which had shrimp as a binder instead of breading – yum. Next we had the Lemongrass Fried Chicken (you had me at fried chicken) Gumbo. Now I am not a gumbo fan, I’m more of a red beans and rice girl, but I could have eaten a pot of this gumbo! It may sound strange, but i’s served with a spoonful of potato salad – weird – but everyone should do it! It was served with Corn Babies or what we call corn sticks in my family. The Huitlacoche Butter was another unexpected twist on a otherwise ordinary pairing – delicious. Next we had TX BBQ Shrimp. I told the chef that I would have been happy with a bowl of rice and that BBQ sauce, it was good. Are you still counting courses? Out come dishes six and seven, Sausage Stuffed Dates and Smoked Japanese Sweet Potatoes and we dig in although we are starting to wonder if we’re going to be able to finish. Whew! One more course to go – dessert – which we always have room for at least a bite. We both gave the chef a funny look when Chef Alisa served us a parfait of CURRY and banana ice cream. I said, “Curry like in savory curries?” She smiled and said yes. Have I ever mentioned that both my friend and I HATE bananas? Well, never say that we won’t try something at least once. With a little trepidation we both dug our spoons in and …. we LOVED it!!! What?! Curry and banana?! Didn’t I say at the beginning of this (too long) review that the flavors were unique and unexpected. I wasn’t lying. Palm&Pine has been added to our permanent NOLA restaurant list. Can’t wait to try other dishes on the menu and another bowl of that gumbo!

This small and unassuming restaurant has much to boast about. A small yet promising menu can satisfy anyone’s curiosity. Unique ingredients and renditions of classics with their own take. Check them out because you can lick the plates of etiquette we’re not an issue. Highly Recommending their Tuns Crudo & Butter lettuce salad with prima Donna gouda cheese and crab cakes. Chocolate cake also a must have! Mos dishes we did not photograph, sorry! But so good…

We had an amazing experience at Palm and Pine. The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was enjoyable. I want to call out our server for being so amazing. Several people in our group had food preferences or allergies. She went above and beyond to help us navigate the menu and even went so far as to give us a menu with “checks and x’s” to guide what we all could eat and what we needed to discuss before ordering. What an amazing experience. Thank you!

Had a solo dinner here tonight and received fantastic food and service. The beef fat griddled waygu and potato pave were sensational – pair it with the corn babies for an over the top experience. The bar was equally wonderful; the Autumn Oracle was especially noteworthy. Service was so loving and friendly; I lingered far longer than necessary just to savor and converse. If the persimmon ice cream is available, GET IT.

We had several unique dishes here and they all tasted great. Our waiter was very helpful with food recommendations and we enjoyed everything he suggested. The menu items are a bit unique so consider trying something more different than food you normally would.

The Cajun Fried Chicken Biscuit is a total winner.

The chicken is perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and seasoned with just the right amount of Cajun spice flavorful without being overpowering.

The biscuit is buttery, flaky, and melts in your mouth, pairing perfectly with the spicy chicken.

Hands down one of the best chicken biscuits I’ve ever had.

Note: everything was made from scratch so it takes some time to get your dish but it’s definitely worth it.

Wow! We had a fabulous Sunday brunch: head cheese lumpia, puppy drum with peanut gremolata, and the Cajun chicken and biscuit. And a couple Negronis because it’s brunch in NOLA

My partner and I really wanted to enjoy P&P but by the 3rd of our 4th plate of food we both looked at each other and just did a shoulder shrug. The bacalaitos had almost zero fish or any type of salted fish flavor in the batter, mostly fried dough with a sauce on top. The crudo looked great and sounded great but didn’t really promote any celebration of a raw fish dish. It was masked with a double up of sweet Nuoc Cham and sweet fried shallots and no balance of a salt cure or dash of citrus or acid.
Steak tartare was more of the same, looked great, tasted mostly like cold shredded muenster cheese.. steak entree was decent.
The dishes just felt like they were going through motions. Was it bad? Absolutely not. Have I had better versions of all these dishes? Absolutely and in multiple places.
Did the %20 auto grat leave not much room for the establishment to miss on some simple execution ?
you better believe it. We Would have padded our tip if the place rocked .. but alas

My husband and I enjoyed a deliciously unique and creative collection of locally-sourced & seasonally-inspired fusion cuisine dishes which were unlike anything I’ve tasted before (in a really good way!). Each person we encountered working here offered welcoming warmth and joy-filled hospitality. Chefs Amarys and Jordan offered insight into the inspiration for each dish we savored during the 8-course chef’s dinner (book this at Airbnb Experiences, you will be glad you did). Can’t say enough good things about our dinner here!
