Everything about Palmetto Osteria was incredible. Our server, Genesis, was our favorite part though. This was my husband and I’s first time eating here and she had so many good recommendations. We ended up getting the Fritto Misto and Pepperoni Flatbread to start along with an Aperol Coconut Margarita. She suggested adding hot honey to the flatbread and that took it to a whole other level. I can’t recommend this enough! Then she pointed out the Black Truffle pasta as a favorite of hers from the entrees and it was amazing. We also split a Caesar Salad with chicken and some asparagus. Everything was full of flavor and delicious. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Galveston Island. The ambience and decor was also beautiful and I felt like we had been transported to Italy. Thank you to Genesis for making the entire experience memorable and for giving the best suggestions. We’ll definitely be back on our next visit to the area!

Great date night vibes with an authentic menu. You can taste that everything is made in house-from the calamari batter to beautifully crafted cocktails. Wine bottle pricing is very fair with great food selection. My Pistacho Pesto Pork Ribeye was perfect in everyway.

Tucked away from the busier side of Galveston a quaint refuge I nearly would have missed had I not been looking for it, Palmetto Osteria is my new favorite spot for Italian fare. The service was friendly. The atmosphere was quiet and pleasant. We started off dinner with a bread board of foccacia, which comes with two spreads, a fantastic white bean paste which is similar to hummus, but I may prefer it now to hummus, and marinated tomatoes. For our mains we ordered the Veal Piccata and Black Truffle pasta, both were wonderful, the truffle wasn’t overwhelming in the pasta and the Veal was cooked to perfection. We kept it simple for dessert and capped it off with a pistachio Gelato, which was recommended by our server Genesis and it did not disappoint. Genesis was very helpful and friendly, knowledgeable of the menu and made great recommendations. The restaurant has a great selection of wines and liquors.

First time visit even though we live 10 minutes away. Atmosphere and service (Dan) were excellent! Chicken piccata, mussels, salad, and garlic bread were wonderful and tasty. Eric stopped by the table to make sure all was good – and it was… We will be back.

One of the best dining experiences in Galveston! Palmetto Osteria offers a relaxed coastal atmosphere, outstanding food, and excellent service — all with beautiful views of the water. Every dish we ordered was fantastic, and their espresso martinis are exceptional. Truly a place worth returning to!

It was our first time since they opened and we didn’t have reservations. We had already left and had planned to return the next night with reservations but the bar staff came outside and got us and convinced us to try out the bar seats since they had two. We did and are so appreciative that we came in. The food was great and the service was out of this world. Everyone from the front Eric and the whole staff really cared about their work and patrons they serve. Jenn and Miranda were awesome because that bar was busy and they made it seem so streamlined. Staff would pack your food when you were done so it was out of the way while you continued finishing your drinks. These things make a difference. It’s a a very nice place to celebrate or just have quick bite. We will definitely be back many times to support local.

One of the absolutely best all around restaurants we have been to in a while. We had great service… The food was amazing and the views were worth the visit alone. The drinks came out quickly and were very tasty.
The thing not to be missed is the dessert we got. While we can’t say it , it’s not to be missed. Picture here !
Wrapped up dinner with a stroll around Evia.

Visited Palmetto Osteria last week and the experience was absolutely incredible. They were so accommodating with a large group and our server was very knowledgeable with the menu. The lemon cheesecake is TO DIE FOR (i literally think about it in my dreams) and the atmosphere was positively dreamy. Can’t wait to bring other people here.

To begin with, the atmosphere is wonderfully surprising on Galveston and service impeccable.
The food ranked slightly lower. Well plated but some of the pastas just not as good as some of their other offerings. The meatball appetizer was enjoyable while the bolognese and alfredo a bit less.

Jenny’s energy and smile at the bar keep us coming back. She is warm welcoming and always consistent with her delivery of outstanding libations and hospitality. The restaurant has beautiful water views from almost every seat. We started with Fritto Misto tonight, which was delicately fried calamari and shrimp. Then we shared chicken picatta it was delicious and was light and full of fresh lemon and caper flavor. The menu is Mediterranean and filled with many options of seafood and pastas. We are addicted to the location the menu and the sunset views. We went back last night. The atmosphere was buzzing everyone was in island evening attire ready to enjoy! We had the Meatball for an appetizer and coming from an Italian family, I was shocked. It was hands done the best meatball I ever ate, dont tell my Grandmother! We also had the swordfish, it was served over an olive and caper reduction, and the Buccatini Carbonara. We are looking forward to trying every thing on the menu, it is so had to choose.
