WORTH THE WAIT. We come here for breakfast when we’re in SSI and there is normally a wait but we know the food is excellent and the service is always exceptional. Blueberry pancake is huge and delicious. Huevos rancheros is very good, not traditional but still tasty. Not spicy. If you like grits, you’ll love the pimento cheese grits. My husband enjoyed the crab cake benedict. Coffee is good too and the waitress is always on top of filling it. She hustled the whole time we were there. Clean, updated atmosphere. Reasonably priced. Street parking and a few nearby lots.

We had the best dinner at Palmers last night. They have revamped the restaurant and it has such a cool vibe. I love all the green. We had truffle fries and crab dip to start, wedge and spinach salad, smash burger, salmon and Tuscan chicken. All were incredible. Can’t wait to go back. So excited to have a new dinner option on the island.

Lovely
Very cute and quaint restaurant. We came for breakfast. It was first thing in the morning, around 8 a.m. They opened at 7:30. It was already packed. But we were seated right away. We had the French toast and 2 egg breakfast with the pimento cheese grits bacon, sausage and a biscuit. You can tell that the sausage was homemade. It was very flavorful and delicious. Everything was nice hot and tasty.

First time here for dinner and it was great. Very trendy, nice crowd, waiters professional and friendly, the food perfect and of course the location can’t be beat. We thought the new menu was well thought out and although limited, it made perfect sense with choices we liked. Very well done. Thank you!

This place is wonderful. I’d describe it as an elevated diner, but not so elevated that it’s not a diner anymore. I had the Coastal Delight omelette, and it was probably the best omelette I’ve ever had. Just really unique and so fluffy and flavorful. The potato side was also seasoned so well and was delicious rather than being filler like so many diners treat potatoes. My husband got the chili and half a sandwich, and after I tasted the chili I tried to get two servers to give me even a HINT of the recipe, because it is SO GOOD. Then we shared the key lime brulée and that was delectable. We will absolutely be back. There are so many things on the menu I want to try. Highly recommend.

Stopped in today for the first time for breakfast. Ordered the Coastal Delight; fantastic! Sauce was creamy and savory, shrimp cooked just right and presentation was thoughtful. Had a side biscuit with sausage gravy to top it off and that was great too. Bree, our dining facilitator was a gem. Service with a smile and great attitude. Meals were delivered hot well within a reasonable amount of time for the capacity of the restaurant. Would definitely return.

Dinner was AMAZING last night. Delicious food and excellent service. Palmer’s has always been known for its breakfast and now they’ve raised the bar with dinner. A definite must!

If u want the best breakfast in St. Simons, this place is it! My wife had the banana pudding pancakes and I had the coastal delight which was awesome. Had great from my waiter. Only thing negative I say is we were seated in the back and it was alittle uncomfortable temp wise but I tell u the food is worth it though

I’m a local, and after the renovation, I had high hopes that the F&B experience would improve beyond just a fresh coat of paint and new furniture. Unfortunately, my expectations were dashed.

For lunch, I ordered a grouper salad with pears, but it was devoid of any flavor. My husband opted for an omelette with biscuits and grits, but it was equally bland and lacked any seasoning. I even asked for a bottle of water, but unfortunately, they didn’t have it.

While I appreciate the change in plates, it’s disappointing that they still serve cheap plastic glasses for beverages. And to top it off, the coffee tasted like water.

All of this $66 for lunch. Never again

Is it worth the 20-30 minute wait or early wake-up call? Umm, yeah!! If you are looking for a tasty fulfilling breakfast in a quaint causual setting, this is the place to be. With a diverse menu offering, Palmer’s Village Cafe is serving traditional and creative meals catered to their southern island residents and guests. Friendly servers provide prompt courteous service to all patrons. Seating is limited. Parties larger than 4, call ahead to notify them you’re coming, though they don’t take reservations. On street and Lot parking are available along Mallery Street and the surrounding areas.
