We went on a Sunday at about 9:30 and there were plenty of tables, no wait. The food was okay, just your average breakfast food. The portion sizes were huge so we felt like it was a good value. There are more unique places in Bend to find a good breakfast if you are willing to get there early or wait for a table.

Cute, quaint, friendly, and fast. They accommodated my silly request to replace my potatoes with tomatoes and they practically gave me a whole tomato, I was thrilled! Eggs were perfect. If you want a quick and tasty breakfast, this is a great spot!

Nice, local “hole in the wall” cozy diner. Friendly, and Dave there recommended the Rueban Eggs Benedict, did not disappoint, game on and gone. Tender corned beef to the last bite, and the kraut had a nice subtle tang to it, smothered in yolk and Hollendaise sauce, mmmm.

Are you craving a tender but slightly crunchy sweet waffle with berries and cream? How about a delicious and lightly chicken fried steak with homemade gravy and crispy potatoes?

Good place to get classic American food in a friendly, old-fashioned setting. Their menu boasts a lot of standard brunch and lunch fare without anything too crazy or trendy, but they make good food nevertheless. I got the biscuits and gravy, and I appreciate that the sauce was clearly homemade and tasty. Prices are fair for what you get. Service is nice and fast enough. They have a decent outdoor seating option as well.

Update 9/2024. Solid and a great experience with great food and great service. Nicely upgraded inside. Somehow still Bends best kept secret.

This was a pretty solid spot for breakfast. Warm and inviting with old school wood atmosphere. Food was good and prepared as ordered, portions fed even the hungriest appetites. Prices were good for the quality and quantity of food. Fun selection of morning cocktails too. Service was friendly, but a little slow. It was very busy but staff just seemed a little out of cadence. I will definitely return in the future for a good hearty breakfast.

I hesitate to post this because I was hoping for a better response or outcome.
I dined there with my husband on a Saturday in January 26. Carried out half of my breakfast because the servings are plentiful.
Sunday afternoon I heated up what was left to find a wire in my food. It was a egg scramble so lots of places to hide
I went to show them the item I found the next day only to discover they close on Mondays and Tuesdays. When I went in to show them the circular wire in my eggs, on Wednesday, the older gal ( I’m assuming the person in charge) at the counter just looked at it, put it in a drawer and looked at me and said she “would investigate this”. She did not get my name or number and expressed no apologies.

DOWNGRADED RANKING FROM FIVE STARS

Today’s experience was terrible. Giant chunks of dry crumbled potato completely unseasoned. RAW pork sausage. Greasy bacon. Flavorless bacon. Bad service. NO OFFER TO MAKE THINGS RIGHT. WE ARE DONE COMING HERE.

SAME THE LAST TWO TIMES.

OLD REVIEW
The Good- This place still wants to be a secret (see photo ), but I asked permission to post a steller review, as this place is fantastic. Moved to this city a few weeks ago, and been eating breakfast out every day. This place is at the very top. Everything is made from scratch (the biscuits are amazing, though could use a dash of salt) and delicious. We ordered eggs several different ways to test, and all were textbook. Good Bloody Marys with garlic-stuffed olives (yum!). The staff is as friendly as they look in my photo. Prices fine. Highly recommend.

The Bad- Got the ribeye on my second visit, but it was the wrong cut and not cooked well. Had to send back food twice in total, but still worth it over the timew we’ve come!

The Tip- Take a walk in the PALMER BATHROOM FOREST (see video)

The best scramble (The Mediterranean) that I have ever had! Their in house made salsa was delicious. Husband loved his Palmer Scramble. Atmosphere inside feels like you’ve been somewhere special.

I absolutely love coming to Palmers for breakfast. The staff/owner are so sweet and supporting a small business that cares about others is easy to do. Food is basic, but delicious and they overall experience is always enjoyable. The only reason I give the atmosphere a 4/5 stars is the decor is a little dated.
