Food was pretty good. Service was slow. Outside and inside dining options were nice.

I had the pleasure staying at this resort for a competition.there was a restaurant called point Royal where you dine in for breakfast or dinner but I just went for breakfast. There is a very helpful beautiful spirit, beautiful smile hard worker and breath of fresh air waitress by the name of Fiona, that made our breakfast experience so wonderful. She is a very hard worker, she made sure everyone was ok if there was any request she made sure that they was taking care of in a timely manner. They had her working all over the restaurant but she made sure all of her customers was taking care of. We experience another waiter that we had to ask numerous times for different things that we needed and sometimes didn’t get. A lot more of the other waiters and waitresses should take notes from Fiona!!!….

We stayed at the resort and ate breakfast here every morning. The buffet had everything you could want. Literally. I genuinely enjoyed everything I tried. Also . . . orange juice, water, coffee, and espresso were included with our breakfast.
The best part was the staff. Everyone we encountered was above and beyond spectacular!

Throughout our entire trip and stay at The Diplomat, Jennifer, our waitress, was the most considerate and attentive! It’s incredibly kid-friendly and the breakfast sausage and potatoes were great!

Mediocre brew last at best with limited choices. Unfortunately the service is more pretentious than skills but they are friendly for sure.
$7 for an bottles come? Come on.
The coastal breakfast is good, but $26.
Overall I wished there was a off hotel place that was close

They’re about to renovate the restaurant. It was somewhat dated but very comfortable. Our waitress, Sofia, was very attentive and made some of the best Bloody Marys we’ve had in a while. My husband got the buffet. That was way too much food for me to even look at. I got a breakfast wrap. It was both delicious and filling. We would definitely go again to this restaurant. We would avoid paying the $50 in valet parking by parking across the street the next time.

Excellent food and ambiance. Our waiter Paul was outstanding and delivered an excellent dining experience. The Fried Calamari with garlic aioli is a must have when going as a starter. The Grouper and Hanger steak was amazing. Truly enjoyed our anniversary dinner visiting here. Thanks Paul!

The food is good, the staff is friendly, the atmosphere is relaxing. Plan on spending a long time here. It goes at a very slow pace. We needed to keep asking for more water and coffee. There was a lunch special that wasn’t mentioned. There is room for improvement.

When the clock strikes 5:30, make your way to Point Royal for oyster hour where celebrity chef Geoffrey Zakarian and former Beachcraft executive chef and Diplomat’s now corporate chef Michael Fiorello have concocted a menu featuring a slew of oceanic delights. The aptly named oyster hour lets you have freshly shucked bivalves alongside pretty potent margaritas for $7, though eating your way through the regular menu is also highly recommended. Get a seafood tower and do like we do with a dirty martini to wash it down. Then, do try Point Royal’s Ugly Burger, Oyster Po’Boy, Alaskan King Crab Ricotta Dumplings, Steamed Maine Mussels with creme fraiche and dijon mustard, and GZ’s (that’s Geoffrey Zakarian’s) Poached Lobster Roll that takes a whole crustacean and douses it in a piquant Coleman’s mustard sauce.
