Great service, great atmosphere, and amazing flavors. We had the stake and eggs, eggs Benedict, and the Ruben. To add to the experience is the beautiful downtown area location of the restaurant.
A must if you like good food.
You’ll thank me later.

Great Deli in the heart of Sarasota. The cup size of the matzo ball soup…though tiny… was actually just the perfect taste. The Rachel Rubin was fantastic. The rye bread toasted just right; the turkey was good but the sauerkraut and pickle added the perfect tang stealing the tastevud showdown. The side of russian dressing was great for a dipping companion. My table also got the latkes and the chicken and waffles. No one complained…only complimented. Washed it all down with a Dr Brown Blk Cherry!

Excellent Jewish style deli in the heart of Sarasota. Sat at the bar for a quick lunch. Service was fast and efficient. Enjoyed a pastrami sandwich with matzo ball soup as a side for a small up charge. Place was busy and everything coming out of the kitchen looked great.

Sooo Palm Avenue Deli was recommended to us by the hotel we were staying at, and I’m glad we took the walk over because breakfast was delicious. I loved the old diner vibe, the order status sign, jukebox, photos, and even the little touches like the bill holder. Our waitress was funny and kind, which made the experience even better. Everything we ordered hit the spot. If you’re visiting or in the area for breakfast, I definitely recommend stopping by.

What was ordered:

Pad Breakfast Sandwich = simple but satisfying

Scrambled Eggs with Sausage & Bacon = classic and tasty

We absolutely loved our visit to Palm Avenue Deli! The service was quick and friendly, and the food—wow. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and made with care.

We tried the eggs Benedict, which were perfectly cooked, and one of their bagels with smoked salmon and scallion cream cheese so, so good. The salmon was super flavorful, and the smear

We also had their chocolate egg cream (made with milk chocolate and soda water) out of pure curiosity and it was surprisingly delicious! Overall, such a great experience.

Today was my third visit to the Palm Avenue Deli. Today I enjoyed the skirt steak with eggs over medium. The food was excellent. I enjoyed a cup of coffee and milk, glass of orange juice and the in house filtered bottled water as well. The menu and theme go very well together and it did remind me of a New York style eatery. The service was excellent! Timing was great. The bathrooms are clean and I definitely recommend trying something different on the menu every time you go.

Had the skirt steak and eggs. Definitely not worth the $32. Steak was totally bland and sauce on it was garbage. Looked like a piece was cut out in the middle and filled in with a garlic bulb. Eggs had no flavor . Potatoes fried so much they couldn’t be eaten. Overall this time around my food was not good and not worth it. Service was amazing .Probably wont be back

Expensive. Not wonderful. Worst slowest service imaginable. Two times. They have truly literally never heard of a corned beef special. It’s crazy. I had a Reuben this time. It was either chopped or sliced so thin that it had zero mouth feel. You could taste meat but you could only feel mush.

If there were more stars, there still wouldn’t be enough. From the moment you walk in (especially on a Saturday downtown Sarasota!) it is busy and you see the staff hustling and with the same poise as if it were any other volume. I asked for the name of the woman handling the front to leave this review but unfortunately forgot her name between my visit and getting home to leave this review. But you can tell her dedication to the establishment and friendly customer service and reassuring that the wait will not be long. The esthetic is walking into an elite diner in New York with vintage newspaper tables. And every meal I’ve had is amazing. Try their Butternut squash soup while it’s there!

Palm Avenue Deli is fantastic! I had one of the best Reubens I’ve ever had … perfectly balanced, flavorful, and packed with quality ingredients. Friendly staff and a cozy deli vibe make it a spot I’ll definitely be returning to.
