I have lived in Wichita for 16 years and missed great Mexican food until today. Paleteria La Reyna is a gem hidden in north Wichita. I had the Maize Tostada with Asada and ground beef with Horchata drink [rice and cinnamon] and my wife had the Mexican plate with Verde Pork with a Mexican Coke. I feel like I could die now and go to heaven. Every part of the meal was full of flavor. The asada was smokey and cooked perfectly. Crispy tostada, smokey beans, crispy lettuce, and fresh avocado. I don’t know what they cooked the rice in but I wish I could bathe in it.

Hands down the best paletas in town! The fruit is fresh and the mango is perfectly ripe. Also the Taco nachos are enough for 2 people and so yummy!

Great place. Very convenient and easy to find location at basically 29th & Arkansas. It’s a southwest style home made into a restaurant, very decorative, with a nice iron fence surrounding a large patio with seating and there’s plenty of parking! Service is great, super nice ladies are usually running the register. You order under the “order here” sign then will pick up at the other end of the counter after your foods made. The ice cream is amazing as well as my personal favorites the pop-sickles. All types of dessert, made fresh with fruit!!! Nice menu with some delicious food. Personal favorite is the al pastor tacos! There’s also tons of seating inside, even for large groups, so give it a try!!
