I ordered the loaded fries with fried Chicken and the “handcrafted” fried chicken sandwich, the fries were soggy and undercooked, there was hardly and chicken and it was dry, the chicken sandwich was nothing but breading no chicken at all, just a waste of money never again. Please and NO thank you.

Ahh, Rochester, New York…my home sweet home. Every time I come to town, I know I stand to gain a couple, 2, 3, or more pounds.
I’m on a never ending quest to find the best sandwiches in every city, and Palermo’s Market in the old Sibley’s building is the Sicilian sandwich equivalent to Dr. Dre’s “The Chronic.”

I got the split and seared chorizo sausage link sandwich, and I ain’t mad at it. Nicely spiced chorizo w grilled peppers, onions, and a slice of melty cheese does me just right. Sandwiched in a nice amd chewy, soft “hard roll…” (Never can understand why thry call a soft bun a hard roll, but Iguess that will remain on of life’s great unsolved mysteries.)

Grab some tuna mac salad, and kiss your own lips some of their house juice blends. This passion fruit/guava/sour sop blend has got me puckered UP.

Last but not least, you gotta give a huge kudos to a crew that came up from a street side grill busting out house made recipes that grew themselves into a brick amd mortar. Plenty to be said about that!

Palermo’s is one of the best places to eat in Rochester. It is located in The Mercantile Building on East main. If you want comfort food, delicious cheesy Mac and cheese goodness or a nice sandwich or salad, this is the place to come!!! Great service, and family friendly environment, Palermo’s is where it’s at!!

Palermo’s market has some of the nicest staff I’ve ever met and after finding out nearly everything is made in house I can understand why it’s so delicious. I definitely need to go back to try the homemade sausage.

Here’s another gem to find in Rochester! These brothers know there’s sausage…Seriously! The food is delicious, flavorful, and all the ingredients are locally bought. Get the chorizo and be whisked away to Spain

Homemade veggie burgers!!!! You rarely see homemade veggie burgers. Usually they are store bought burgers. So I had to try one and I was impressed. Huge size! I will be back. The spicy sauce is indeed spicy. Ditch the side chips, really bland. I’d take a big pickle instead.

This was hands down the best breakfast sandwich I’ve had in Rochester. The roll was perfect, the made in house chorizo was to die for, and the peppers and onions with some spicy mayo, made a sandwich of the Gods. My fiance had home fries with his which were also delicious and one of kind, crisped to perfection. To top it all off, we had their fresh made apple and carrot juice, which is normally not my thing, but I loved it!!!
Check this place out, you’ll thank me!!

I just happened to be walking by, and I stopped in for lunch today. I ordered the Jerk chicken and rice and beans, with a Smoothie. They mixed the 2 smoothie flavors together and it was the best smoothie I have ever had…I should’ve gotten a LARGE! The jerk chicken was very juicy and tender, and the rice and beans…tasted like they came from someone’s home…AMAZING!!
