We use to come in frequently and ALWAYS loved the food. The fact that they had mild salsa that was REALLY good was a bonus.
Today we were greeted by a friendly gal who sat us, I asked for mild salsa instead of thw regular. She broght our water along with chips amd salsa. It didn’t look the same amd so I asked our waiter, when he came to our table, of this was the mild, he curtly said it was and walked off. It was so m6ich hotter than the normal salsa. I’m not sure if they have changed their salsa, but it was nothing like it was.
The waiter was less than friendly or helpful. My daughter in law had asked a few questions and he did answer them, but he was short and rude towards her. When he brought our drinks, he slammed them on the table and walked off. They were not busy, there were about seven other people in the restaurant, and not much demand for him. He brought our food out, told us the plates were hot and we didn’t see him again until I flagged him down to ask for a to go box. The food was decent, but the quality was not the same, and again things were much spicer and not as good. Overall, the service wasn’t great, the food was OK it was more of a disappointment from what it use to be, especially for the price

Omg I had to post this hidden gem in Spokane. I just had a breakfast/lunch that was amazing. The restaurant is clean and cozy. Try this one out for yourself.

We had a special family dinner here recently and we recommend Palenque very highly! From street tacos, to enchiladas, to gigantic burritos, to arroz con pollo, EVERY entree was generous and perfect! We also enjoyed some luscious cocktails pre-dinner. Our server was wonderful, as well. Thank you, Palenque, for making our celebration the absolute best!

I skipped coming here before because of the reviews. We came during happy hour and I got 4 carne asada street tacos. They were $14 and didn’t come with the rice and beans for $17.95, so basically not an actual special. But they were decent. My daughter got a Mexican pizza with shredded beef and it was a little soggy but the meat had good flavor. She also got a virgin Pina colada that was amazing. My husband’s taco salad was pretty basic but the meat was good. The waiter was attentive and kind. We got a churro cheesecake for dessert which was interesting but a little dry. I will say that the atmosphere is a little odd but decor is nice. I was a little annoyed that there were some girls who I think we’re related to staff by interactions playing games on their phones with super loud volume and that was a little hard to relax, luckily they left shortly after we got there. Overall it was a good experience, not amazing, not bad. I do like that they have a separate bar area with an outdoor patio. I just wish the outdoor patio was available for people not drinking as well.

Best Place for Mexican Food in WA State!
I’ve tried many Mexican restaurants in WA state, but this one stands out as the best so far. We ordered the Fajitas for Two and the Queso Dip.
Fajitas for Two: The fajitas were excellent overall. The shrimp and steak were cooked to perfection, full of flavor and juicy. However, the chicken was tough, bland, and overcooked. We now request no chicken to avoid this issue.
Queso Dip: The queso dip is some of the best I’ve ever had. Creamy, rich, and delicious—it’s a must-try!
Despite the issue with the chicken, I highly recommend this place for its outstanding food, service and incredible queso dip.

Great good. It’s good quality that doesn’t leave you feeling like you ate a brick (how I usually feel after eating Idaho Mexican). This is now my go to place to eat out.

Love this newly built Mexican restaurant in the Liberty Lake area! Delicious food, full bar (with a daily happy hour from 3:00-6:00) and an outdoor patio for those warmer nights. The bacon-wrapped shrimp (camarones apretalados – not pictured) absolutely blew me away!! Tonight we were served by Pablo, un camarero fantástico, and will definitely be returning here soon.

My mother and I went for Mother’s Day and boy do I feel bad for making the choice to eat there. It was the first time for both of us and they have been there for years so I assumed it must be good. It was about 3pm when we got there. It was a very bar atmosphere the entire time. Loud, maybe a little tipsy talkers. A toddler crying too. Busy. I was suprised how little of selection the menu had. Took me forever to decide on something to order. I asked for mild salsa but it wasent mild. Asked for pico de gallo instead but it tasted terrible. The tomatos were green and orange. Not ripe. Yuck. Asked for a bean dip. It was a little spicy but better of the other 2 choices. I ordered a blackberry margerita. The picture on the menu looked so good. A deep plum color. My margarita was white with a few streaks of plum color. WASENT ABLE TO PUT THE CORRECT AMOUNT OF FLAVOR IN IT. Had to send it back. ???? WTH? My mom ordered a tostada. When she got her plate, it looked like a plate of basic bagged salad mix. She couldnt find the tortilla. She asked the waiter and with his help she was able to find it. WHAT??? We ordered some carne asada fries, California Fries they call them and I had no words for what they gave me. If you search google for carne asada fries images, you would never find anything that looked like what they served me. Fries, cilantro, steak and a light layer of grated parmesan cheese. Like you would put on your spagetti. WHAT??? I ordered nachos and the meat had a different taste to it. Looking at the texture, I would say it wasent just ground beef but I dont know for sure to say for sure. My mom didnt finish even half of her “tostada” and didnt want to take it home. Took the fries home with plans of making them the “carne asada fries” they were supposed to be. HOPE! We had originally ordered an order of nachos to take home to my dad but after the meal so far we canceled those plans. Im posting some pictures but I dont think the pics get attached to the exact review that they were posted with but I hope so so that people are able to see. And after all that, $70 bill. Make me sick to my stomach. Everything about the experience was not good. Blows my mind.

Palenque has moved, unbelievably nice brand new restaurant…unfortunately the food still lacks flavor, some things over cooked. New venue but still the same underwhelming taste!! Wifes shrimp are brown almost burnt in photos.

Location is great to sit outside on the patio and enjoy the view of Trailhead golf course. Service is always fast and friendly.
Food and drinks are decent. I like the fish tacos, housemade chips and salsa, and quesadilla. My husband enjoys the burritos and enchiladas. I always get the house margarita since it’s a bit less sweet than their other drinks.
They’ll have a new location soon, so stay tuned!
