Delicious smoked brisket and macaroni, humorous and friendly wait staff. We always eat at weird times, so the place was quiet, but food was still fresh and hot, drinks were cold, and was the perfect spot to stop between Ha Ha Tonka Springs and Bridal Cave.

Generally when I pick a restaurant while traveling… I look at the rating and reviews. Palasota appeared as good as others in the area. That wasn’t the case.
Let’s start with the good. Good sides. Beans, Fried Okra, French Fries and Mac and Cheese were highlights. Service is good and the staff are friendly. BBQ sauces were not half bad, and I was surprised from the lack of vinegar based sauces.
Now with the not so good. Both the ribs and brisket came out completely black. The meat was dry, and I was really disappointed. Salts, spices, and smoke were severely lacking, and non-existent. I expected flavorful meat candy and was presented with mehBQ. The meat was cooked too quickly in high heat…. or we took yesterday’s brisket and ribs and popped them into an oven at broil.
Prob won’t stop here on future trips.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would, we were sat down immediately, every item we ordered was served quickly and it was absolutely delicious across every board! The fried apps and sides were all seasoned well and had a good crunch, we ordered pulled pork sandwiches and the meat was superb! Great flavor and the ratios of meat to bun on the sandwich were perfect. The baked beans and mac and cheese were to die for, if we had room for dessert we would have ordered some! We will definitely be returning on a regular basis, a true gem of a restaurant here at the lake.

When we walked in we were greeted by friendly front-of-house staff. We went to a booth and our waitress quickly came over to take our drink orders. She was prompt, professional, and quick to refill drinks as needed. Our food came out pretty quickly after we ordered. I got the brisket sandwich. The meat had a good flavor and was very tender. It wasn’t very hot though. The bun it came with was very fresh and good. The sides were okay (onion rings and fries), but both had a bit of an after taste to them. The prices for most meals are very reasonable. The restaurant was also very clean. Service was great.

It was our first time here this evening. My wife my 2 sister in laws and myself. There was only one waitress and she was amazing!! Very hard working and food was amazing!! We will definitely be back again!! Coleslaw was fantastic! Ribs were so good!! The Mac n cheese bowl was fabulous!! Thank you all for the wonderful service!

Brisket so soft you have to double check to make sure you took a bite of the right meat, while still able to hold it’s shape.
The ribs were fall off the bone and juicy. Definately a mess maker, as I like them to be.
The pulled pork needs a rebranding. “Pulled” seems too harsh a word, this was more like a “delicately preppared for your flavor satisfaction pork”
Their standard in-house sauce has such a great arrangement of smokey bbq flavor. I did ask, and they do not provide it as an IV injection option, which is too bad, I want it as my prescription.
The meat was so fantastic that I focused my eating efforts on it and not the sides, I came unpreppared and for that I am sorry, but the small bite of Mac and Cheese that I had room to handle was delicious. A slight smokey flavor with LOT O CHEESE smothering the shells. The onions rings were crispy outsides with onion filled centers, as one should agree, is how onion rings should be.
My only regret in life is not having a surgery to expand my stomache so I can eat more of this food.
Go there, eat it, enjoy it.

Great place, great people. Pulled pork, ribs and brisket all had good smoke flavor. Ribs fell off the bone. Homemade apple pie was one of the best we’ve had.

Service was fantastic, the food was incredible! The best BBQ in this area. I have been almost Coast to coast and have eaten a lot of BBQ and this is definitely in my top 5 and will absolutely be a more regular fixture there
