Opened in 1877 The Palace is the oldest bar and business in the state of Arizona. Rebuilt in 1901 after a fire in 1900, it was able to save its original bar, gun safe and beer cooler. We sampled a few different items on the menu and everything was delicious. The wait staff is dressed in costumes of the 1800s and were all very nice. It has a dining room and a bar area, free parking on the street but also a parkade on the next street behind it. We will definitely eat here again when we return to the area.

To be able to drink at a location where Doc Holliday and Wyatt Earp frequented is awesome! Dog friendly back patio? Heck yes! Great historic location with an awesome story. As I walked in I was delightfully greeted by a cowboy in what I can only describe as a ten gallon hat. He saw me looking lost and asked in a thick Midwest accent, “Howdy, ma’am. May I help you?” Confused I looked around and saw the other servers dressed up in period garb. How fun!!! I was not expecting to be transported to the 1870s!! Bourbon and ryes are excellent here. Two page whiskey list. Try Madam Martha’s for sure. I wished I could have spent more time inside looking at all the neat historic memorabilia.

I liked the Western historical vibe. The wait staff was dressed in period getups. Nice and friendly. The beans were great and the flat iron steak was excellent.

We visited with a large party and made a reservation, but arrived early. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The servers were dressed in themed outfits and the food came quickly. Christine was our server and she did a phenomenal job of taking care of the kids. The restaurant is on the Main Street across from the courthouse, but there was parking.

-The Palace staff were welcoming. Kudos for the service time across drink order, food order, and food served.
-Meeting “n” Exceeding: This historic landmark offers a befitting atmosphere with an abundance of western adornments. Wait staff attempt to “dress the part”, albeit we were visiting the day after Halloween so unsure if this is the norm.
-Room to Refine: We were initially confused about seating when we walked in. Keep walking when you enter the saloon doors, the host stand is past the bar. Some additional signage could be helpful here for first time diners.
We were also a bit taken aback when, although we were all a few bites from finishing our food, our server requested we lift our feet as he wanted to vacuum underneath the table.
Our food was nothing to rave over, with the collective highlight voted as the tasty seasoned toothpick fries.
-Summary: Located right across from the Victorian style courthouse in downtown Prescott, The Palace Restaurant & Saloon is recommended for cowpokes seeking old west appeal in historic digs.

Took my husband here for his bday and was completely disappointed! We came here again because we enjoyed the food last time we were in Prescott. As you walk in the hostess wasn’t available right then and there, so we sat down. We noticed the manager I believe and hostess starring at us, so we walked over to them. I dont know if she was new, but she just kind of gave me a blank stare and asked us where we wanted to sit. We wanted a little towards the back away from the front. She sat us right next to the restrooms at table in a very dark area. Low, close to no light to see the menu. Shawn the waiter was okay, but when husband got his hamburger he didn’t even provide any condiments. The hamburger had no flavor. The pictures of the hamburger can be deceiving, just no flavor! My food was absolutely gross. I wanted to try to eat it, but the chicken was so rubbery and no flavor. I got the Caballero Chicken, sort of their version of chicken fajitas? Either way just not edible. We didn’t want to send it back or complain, but this review should suffice. We spent $80 for poor service and gross food. We won’t be coming back here again. Spend your money else where.

We decided to go to the Palace restaurant/saloon because of the history and the stories. We were surprisingly disappointed. We ordered an expresso martini, burger and fries, and blackened shrimp over ceasar salad. The burger was ordered medium(it was well) and as basic as they come. No flavor at all. I received 4 whole shrimp on my salad for $19. Talk about inflation…I thought they left half my shrimp in the kitchen. I am very disappointed in this restaurant. The server was excellent. Food was not worth it. Our bill was $55. W tax, surcharge, and tip $70+.
Do yourself a favor and stop in for a drink and a few pictures. Dont waste your money.

The crystal palace is a great stop in Prescott. Vintage costumes worn by all and quite a lively atmosphere. The food is wonderful and the service exceptional

We were pleasantly surprised by this restaurant/bar in Prescott. We stop there for a late lunch and the place was relatively busy. We had very good food and great service to boot. We tried their steak, burgers and a couple of appetizers. The shredded beef tacos were really good. Our server was extremely helpful and attentive. But I guess the main draw to this location must be the fact it’s well over 100 years old. The restaurant. Specially the bar area has its old saloon charm and it is very inviting. I highly recommend a visit to this place next time you visit Prescott.

We were in Prescott, AZ and found ourselves on Whiskey Row in the town area of Prescott. An old saloon, Palace was once frequented by Wyatt Earp, Doc Holliday and others. Palace was named one of the 10 best historic bars in America. Walking inside, you pass through saloon doors into the saloon bar area. There is also a dining room beyond the saloon area. There are stairs leading up to an area where the brothel would have been. At the top of the steps was a “lady of the night” to greet you, lol. The food and service was great and the staff was knowledgeable about the history of the saloon. If you ever make it to Prescott, AZ the Palace would be a great stop to make.
