PalCampo is a nice spot, the place looks clean, and the service was friendly and attentive but the food was just okay in terms of freshness or overall execution. The entrees at the table gave an impression of prepared in advance and just reheated, which took away from the flavor, quality, and overall expectations.

The Pechuga Rellena de Amarillos y Queso Crema con Salsa de Guayaba envuelta en Tocienta was super dry. I understand a dish like this likely can’t be cooked completely fresh to order since it would take quite a while to bake, but what we got was so dry it was hard to even cut through. The bacon was limp and lacked flavor, and I couldn’t even tell by taste ot texture that there was cream cheese or plantain inside because everything was so dry and just didn’t seem freshly prepared. It felt more like it had been prepared well ahead of time (maybe too far) and just reheated.

The queso frito (fried cheese) is traditionally supposed to be crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, but this one had no crispness at all. The exterior was soft rather than a crispy outer layer, and the cheese itself was cold andmore like a dense moist tofu rather than warm and lightly creamy. Because of that, it just wasn’t very good.

The other dishes felt the same, more like reheated plates than freshly prepared entrées.

First impression was not great I may go back to try it again, as the space and service were nice, but the food didn’t leave a great impression.

I love LOVE LOVE THIS place! So much better than El cilantrillo…lol sorry but it’s the truth! The fried cheese is like little heaven marshmallow clouds, I’ve never had anything like those, not even in Puerto Rico! Love the fillet mignon with chimichuri sauce, love the Arroz manpoteado!! love the Yuca fries and fried plantains. We ordered other stuff and everything was amazing. Didn’t care for the dessert, I am a pastry chef and they can do better. So I would skip dessert. Love the sangria and the cup they give you with the drinks.

Overall a great experience! The food was good, the options were plentiful, and the portions were perfect. I found my stuffed chicken a little dry, but it came with a Guayaba sauce that really helped. You can see the quality in the pictures. Worth a visit.

Just as amazing as the Orlando location!
“I’ve been a huge fan of the Pal’ Campo in Orlando, so I was thrilled to try the Lake Mary location while visiting my girlfriend. It did not disappoint! The food is truly authentic and takes you straight back to Puerto Rico. The atmosphere is electric—great music and a vibe so good you’ll see people doing the ‘happy food dance’ at every table.
A huge thank you to the staff and our attentive waiter for making my girlfriend’s birthday so special. I requested a cake, and they delivered in a spectacular way! If you’re in the area, you have to check this place out. Highly recommended

The Pal Campo restaurant in Lake Mary was great and just as good as the one in Kissimmee. From the moment we arrived, the staff was dressed in traditional clothing and welcomed us with warmth.

For dinner, we had Churrasco and Mofongo. The Churrasco was just as good as you think it would be and paired with a chimichurri that made it even more delicious. The Mofongo was just as good in texture and flavor and we washed it all down with an ice cold Medalla.

For dessert, the cheesecake was surprisingly good (I say this not being a cheesecake fan, but this was good).

Pal Campo is a restaurant that is a celebration of Puerto Rican heritage, flavor, and hospitality. If you are in the Lake Mary/Heathrow are and are looking for Puerto Rican food, this is a great choice.

The food was good, the ceiling was amazing (if you go, you’ll understand), they have a live band on Friday nights, the drinks were a little weak, and the service was trash. Our server lacked ALL personality, and didn’t have recommendations for us, barely checked on us, another server ended up giving us our checks and cashing us out. Not sure if I’d go back when we have some other really good options for Puerto Rican food much closer to my home.

Would have given this place 5 stars but from the moment we walked in, no one greeted us. We were a party of 5 and had to ask to be seated. There was even a line forming behind us as more ppl walked in. They need someone at the door at all times. Once we were seated we waited about 15 minutes when finally my mother had to ask for someone to help us. It was a Saturday and we got there before the rush. It wasn’t that busy for them to totally ignore us. However, Once the server came to help us she was very helpful, the food & drinks were perfect & it came out quick!

Ordered few things to go.
Meat stew bowl, side of arroz con gandules, side red beans and trifongo.
All was good from the online order, picked up the food and the taste of the food.

Today we had an issue at this restaurant because we didn’t know we weren’t allowed to bring outside food for our 4-year-old. Instead of calmly explaining the policy, the manager (Valeria) basically threw us out. We even told her she could speak to us with a better attitude, but she told us to leave.

That’s fine — we left.

The disappointing part is that we come here all the time and easily spend over $200 when we bring our family. Even when I go out with my employees for food and drinks, this is one of the places we choose. We’ve supported this business consistently.

But after the way we were treated today, I can assure you we will never step foot in there again. There are plenty of places that value loyal customers. I can take my money elsewhere
