Hmm… I would actually give 1.5 out of 5. I had champong and tangsooyuk. People working there were extremely nice. I had visited Paik’s Noodle quite a lot when I was in Korea. Although expectation was there, I didn’t raise my bar much because any Korean food in US wouldn’t match ones in Korea.
I wouldn’t recommend champong simply because of the noodle quality. The noodle quality tasted cheap. It wasn’t chewy enough compared to other places around the area. Texture felt like one of those instant spaghetti in a can. Soup was great though. I would recommend champong-bap(rice) rather than the noodle one.
Tangsooyuk was actually pretty good for me. It tasted pretty similar to the one I had in Korea. This is a reason why I give 2 stars instead of 1. However, I think the only downside was that the batter applied to meat was unbalanced. So you would taste thicker part being slightly uncooked.
I would still like to to try jjajangmyeon. Hopefully it’s better the other places as other places’ threshold is pretty high.

Save yourself the disappointment—this place managed to create the worst champpong imaginable. The broth was sour, more like a leftover kimchi stew than anything close to champpong. I even complained and got a “fresh” bowl, but surprise—it tasted exactly the same. Either the chef skipped training or they think champpong is supposed to be an identity crisis in a bowl. If they can butcher their so-called signature dish this badly, I shudder to imagine what the rest of the menu tastes like.

All of the fried noodles have a great “wok hei” flavor. We enjoyed the Bokkeummyeon and Jaengban Jajang (spiciness adjusted to your preference!). Jajang Bap (Black Bean sauce omelette with rice) and Tangsuyuk (sweet sour deep fried pork) also really hit the spot for us!

A small shop inside of H Mart. I only got the jajangmian. Chewy noodles with a good amount of sauce. The wait was a bit long. But the quality of food was good. I would come back again if and when I’m in the area.

It is located in the food court of H Mart. The food is good even though it is a little bit expensive. I will try it again.

The food was amazing and service was fast. They have these new combos which are great, because now I can have jjajangmyeon and tangsuyuk for a good deal.

This used to be my favorite jajangmyun and jambbong place. Idk if they have new cooks but the last two weeks have been terrible, particularly the jambbong. If it remains this way my next trip i will not be returning.
Update 2/6/25. Food quality has returned to acceptable levels. 4-4.5 now.

Even though it’s just a food court, the service here is terrible. The staff are unfriendly and seem completely uninterested in the customers. They were busy chatting among themselves, and because of that, the food came out very late. Very disappointing experience.

Nice staff. Jjamppong soup was pretty good. Would recommend the bokeummyeon as well.

Family ordered sweet sour pork, spicy shrimp, chicken fried rice, jaengban jajang. The only good dish was the jaengban jajang. Do not recommend the other dishes which are better at the Hannam food court tbh.
Ordered extra rice too >$2 bowl it’s expensive all around.
